Speaking of Best Buy, they have the bring in your old DVD and get $5 coupon upgrade again. This time it's for any Blu-ray in stock.
So I already have Moneyball, Boardwalk Empire, and the Debt in mind for Tuesday. I just need to find two more Blu-rays since you can only get 5 coupons each visit.

I couldn't check my status for the month of December! It kept showing zero. I went to the forums and the BB mods said they were having problems with the tracker and it would be fixed soon. I kept checking and it was always on zero. With the holidays and all, I forgot all about it so I have no idea if I made it or not but in adding up my purchases for the year, I didn't. If I would've known that earlier, I would've used my BB credit card at the grocery store or whatever to get my status.

anybody noticed Moneyball has been out for HD Digital download purchase on iTunes since last week? Yet its not officially released on BluRay until Jan10?
Is this the release day games Apple/iTunes are starting to play now with UltraViolet digital copy movies or something?

... and DRIVE is available for HD iTunes purchase Jan.17, but isn't on sale on BluRay/UVDC until Jan.31 ...

I picked up the AVATAR -3 disc Bluray set at Costco for $22.99......and now the clincher!! I have never seen AVATAR....I'll sit down and watch it tonight....hopefully, if I get 3 free hours.

the picture quality on the avatar bluray is amazing. 23 bucks that's a good deal. i paid 40 for mine.

My first post in this thread.
I've had a 42" Panasonic 1080p plasma Tv for a little over 4 years now. For a year and a half my only HD content was my Xbox 360. Then I got DirecTv HD installed. I got an HD-DVD drive for my Xbox riiiight before the format died.

I've finally decided to get Blu Ray after all this time. I've been debating whether I should get a PS3 or not. I understand that today's stand alone players perform better with both Blu Ray discs and upconverting standard DVD (according to an article in the latest PC World magazine).

Once I get my tax return this year I'll be ordering a Panasonic DMP-BDT210 and the following list of movies.

Sunshine
Southland Tales
Black Swan
The Mist
Predator (Ultimate Hunter Edition)
Alien Anthology
Legend (already own on DVD but...)
The Fountain (own on HD-DVD and DVD, but... favorite all time movie)
