Got my 3D Warcraft today and was very disappointed in the boring cover. I hate when the 3D's are lenticular.

Fun movie, have you watched it?

I thought The Shallows and Pete's Dragon were the biggest surprises of the year. I'd rank the two of them in my Top 3 right behind Civil War.

Definitely agree with Shallows, it is up there with CW and SS. BvS came in 4th. Wouldn't surprise me if Rogue one completes my top 5 for 2016.

We all have expectations, especially for the big tent pole releases, but Pete's Dragon and The Shallows came in under the radar, at least for me.

I didn't even know Pete's Dragon released, and I only heard of Shallows a week before released from a TV trailer.

What do you think about Clown? I was thinking of buying that one sight unseen.

Clown was a 6/10, not great but enjoyable. Probably not going to watch it over and over though.

Can a 4k buff help me out? I just broke down and bought a Samsung 4k UHD TV and a UHD Blu Ray player and a UHD HDMI cable.......does my stereo receiver have to be a 4k pass thru or just HDMI? I know I need another UHD cable to go from the reviver to the TV since I only bought 1 to go from the Blu Ray player to the receiver. I'm just wondering if I have to go buy a whole new receiver as well. I have a feeling I won't like the answer, but I am not sure.

Think I got my answer. The Blu Ray player has 2 HDMI outputs. 1 for 4k video that goes straight to the TV and 1 for audio that can go to my current receiver. I'm impressed Samsung did that. Usually you have to upgrade EVERYTHING.

Yes, standard HDMI is only good up to 1080p. For 4K you need a 4K HDMI cable.

So I am now officially ready to re-buy all those perfectly fine HD versions in "ever so slightly better" UHD versions



Couldn't pass it up...£250 for a fully fledged 4K BR player as opposed to £400+ for a standalone is a bargain

Now to decide what I think is worth the upgrade to 4k...oh & actually buy a telly that supports it

I had planned the same myself but once the Slim & Pro were announced & neither of them would have the 4K BD player the Xbox was the better option

I may still get a Pro later but not for a while now

I got my X-Men : Apocalypse Steelbook in the mail today, gotta say I like ordering from BB, enjoy getting my movies days before the street date.

Not the best X-Men movie, but not being familiar with the comics, I didn't have as many issues with it as other people on this site.
