Re: Your 2011 October/Halloween Movie List

I noticed some Fulci movies are coming out on Blu-ray on the 24th. I've heard of his name, but never seen any of his movies. Are they worth getting?

- City of the Living Dead
- House By the Cemetery
- Zombie

Re: Your 2011 October/Halloween Movie List

Zombie is cool. But I won't upgrade my DVD.

On another note, got tickets for Evil Dead: The Musical for tomorrow night, in the "VIP Splatter Zone!"

Gonna be awesome. :yess:

Those're all fun movies, and I'd add The Beyond to that list too, but you can get them all on any of the numerous Fulci collections on DVD for considerably cheaper than BluRay. I definitely would not pay BR prices for them.

I might Netflix them. I'm just trying to throw a few new movies in the mix since I seem to pull the same movies from my collection each year.

Fulci's Zombie is a must have for a horror collection and you're in luck. Best viewed with an audience, Zombie is being re-released nationwide this Friday and Saturday.

Re: Your 2011 October/Halloween Movie List

city of the living dead doesn't really make any sense. But it was pretty disturbing the first time I saw it. I suggest watching it in the dark alone.

Re: Your 2011 October/Halloween Movie List

I just watched House of Wax, which I do enjoy. And I'm about to watch White Noise, and White Noise 2. I love the first one, second one is okay.

The only good thing about that film is Paris' death.

First one kicks all kinds of arse.

Sure you're not mixing that up with Waxwork (1988)?

I ordered Friday the 13th 1-3 on BD today since I don't have them.

Re: Your 2011 October/Halloween Movie List

One of these days I plan to buy Halloween (the original thank you) on BR, but when I have money again.

That BD is essential. It's is one of the few movies that I watch yearly. I never miss it.
