Dairy of the dead was a pretty good film and entry to Romero's series. Survival on the other hand.........don't even bother with it.

I think I'm just over the shaky cam, "reality" style film, and to see Romero just jump on the bandwagon when he was always an originator, was a bit heartbreaking. It's not as successful in its execution as his previous entries. I especially adore Day of the Dead.

The Fly!
Thanks for reminding me.
I'll have to watch this again, but the remake with Goldblum.

Ahhh. :(
I was looking forward to this one.
I'll still give this one a look, but I was hoping this would be the one.

Yeah it's still worth watching. It had its creepy moments. I think what was there was good, just felt like it needed something more. Hope you enjoy it though. :duff

Was gonna watch cabin in th woods last night, hadn't seen it before but was too tired so saving it for maybe next week. Really looking forward to that one though.

Also, just received an email saying my universal collection blu ray is on its ya, so once that arrives I'll be watching more of the classics, Frankenstein and bride of Frankenstein, dracula, maybe creature from the black lagoon. Incidentally, creature from the black lagoon is one of the first films I ever remember watching when I was little. So always held a special place in my heart. :)

Trying, once again, for 31 films. I've failed every year, but maybe in 2012 I'll succeed. Can I count films I couldn't finish watching? So far:

Deadly Blessing
V/H/S - the camera work is so dreadful it's near unwatchable, 2 of the 5 stories are worth seeing
Werewolf: Beast Among Us - bad
Creepshow 1&2
Tales From the Crypt - original
Bait
Abominable - fans of Stephen King's Silver Bullet will LOVE this flick
Cabin in the Woods
Frankenweenie
The Video Dead - really bad
Grave Encounters
The Tall Man - waste of time

Saw today:

Hobo with a shotgun (no horror but nice) and Killer Clowns from outer space!

Both are pure trash but made fun to watch.

Ah, yeah. Cabin in the Woods.
This really wasn't my kind of movie. I didn't enjoy the comedy in it. The horror moments are great, but it was the in-between scenes (you'll know what I mean after you watch it). Maybe you'll enjoy it more than me though.

Very cool about the Universal films.
Dracula and Frankenstein will always be my most memorable among that group. :rock

Original I hope. In fact...

Original or GTFO. :lecture

I wasn't even aware that there was another.

This is the one that I've got:

It's a strange case.
That zombie's head on the front cover is actually the latch that holds this case closed (using velcro). Weird.

By the way, this movie still :rock

The House of the Devil (2010)

An homage to late 70s, early 80s horror movies. A little slow getting started, but I enjoyed the heck out of it once it got going. :panic:
