I don't know what's up with the audio but I have my sound system cranked up near full blast and it's still not at the volume I'd like it. I've never had it up this loud and I'm afraid it's going to blow the speakers because the menu audio is literally making the walls shake but the actual movie isn't loud at all.

I'm not very far in but wonder woman splattering those dudes against the walls was kinda goofy looking and certainly out of character but the Themyscira scene afterwards looks so much better without the terrible red color filter that they put over the theatrical version.

A copy of it dropped all over the place yesterday, but the screen is more square than wide.

I thought it was just an issue with the source, but that's really what Snyder intended. 1280 x 960 = 1.33:1.

Apparently that's what's called "artistic vision".

Aquaman recruitment scene was instantly better now that it showed that most of the town didn't speak English. Whedon presented it as if Curry was just announcing to everyone that Bruce Wayne was Batman.

Steppenwolf's arrival and the subsequent Amazon/Mother Box chase was SOOOO much better. Wow did Whedon go out of his way to make that sequence utterly laughable. I'm really looking forward to seeing the rest.

Zach said the 4K Blu-ray release will have the 480p 4:3 version that will require to be rewinded before the next viewing that dude rocks the artistic vision

It's really strange to watch since it resembles ye olde television.

Not that I'm inclined to watch it properly yet. I barely remember the original, which means it left so little an impression that I never intended to revisit it. Just like all the Avengers movies, and most of the DC ones as well.

Bring on the David Ayer cut of Suicide Squad as that's one I do like to revisit, because it reminds me of Escape from New York.

Finished Part 2. I don't know if I'm liking this because it's good, liking it because it's so astoundingly superior to Whedon's version, or liking it because it's just a nice artistically different counterpoint to the MCU. But whatever the reason I'm really liking it a lot. So far am I thinking it's as good as Infinity War? Nah, but that's okay.

Yep dead on about it being nice to have differing styles. Marvel makes me appreciate Zack and Zack makes me appreciate Marvel. They each have their place and even if I prefer one over the other I love having both options.

Sure ZSJL might be pretentious and overly self-indulgent but with the way they tried to match Marvel's pace at light speed with only a few movies it's nice to see the DCEU slow way down and breathe a bit even if all the slowing down is in one single mega-movie, lol.

EDIT: Holy crap I just saw the thread on HT's new Knightmare figures. I haven't even gotten to that part and I already want them, lol.
