This is the cut that needed to be in theaters..however there could’ve been a lot of parts that needed just some trimming

Yes I agree the slow motion was a little too overkill in some scenes and believe or not there were some spots that were missing from the Wheaton theatrical version that I wished they put in this version which surprised me :lecture

Of course people watching are Synder fans..as people that watch Nolan films are Nolan fans. Moron:lol

Call me a moron and you don't even understand the point of that comment. Let me explain.

The audience score isn't a true representation of the real score because the majority watching a movie that was already released years ago is going to be those who wanted to see it. The score was going to be high regardless. People who watched the Nolan trilogy were not JUST Nolan fans, they were Batman fans first. People who are watching ZACH SNYDER'S Justice League are most likely going to be Snyder fans.

Unfortunately, I have to wait until tomorrow to watch this because my son has baseball practice tonight. I am glad its getting positive feedback thus far, people seem to be enjoying it (currently sitting at 97% RT GP rating) even some of the critics that hate Zack Snyder are giving it props. I really hope the positive feedback continues and people are very vocal about it so Zack gets to finish the story. Honestly, i am not looking forward to the cliff hanger ending its just going to leave me wanting more, but we all know money talks and if people want part 2 and 3 we will get it- this movies very existence is proof of that.

It depends how you feel about Captain Marvel, another movie with a tone of praise. Personally I found this movie and Captain Marvel those that might get big reviews, have a lot of fans, but instantly forgettable to me.

Zero chance of a sequel, by the end this movie turns into a big mess. But I am glad people got a chance to see this version, I just didn't think it was very enjoyable. But then again, Dark Side of the Moon and those transformer movies are big money, so there is an audience for this stuff.

I think Wheadon's version had a lot of faults being forced cut down so much (wheadon cut?), but what I liked about his version is that Steppenwolf is set-up a bit more in the flashbacks in ancient earth. Your like oh, I get it, he tried and failed to conquer earth back then.

Def. some things Wheaton's improved upon, if only a little.

Its joss Whedon not Wheaton haha. Speaking of Whedon, he really did **** Ray Fisher over whether he is racist or not, he cut out all of his part and made cyborg an after thought in the theatrical cut. I am reading the actor put in really good performance no wonder he is upset, I would be pissed off too. As more people watch this its only going to get worse for Mr. Whedon

:exactly: If some of whedon’s parts were part of the original Snyder cut, I think would’ve elevated the overall theme of the film in some areas. It’s just a shame that they feel they had to add scenes to the theatrical release and it wasn’t what Synder originally put in. :slap

How can you say that if you haven't watched the Snyder cut yet? LOL

Honestly Cyborg in this movie was whatever. He is given a little more story for sure, but I also zoned out for some of it. Just wasn't that interesting. I didn't care much for him in either version. His emotional scenes kind of make zero sense.

Aquaman I like better in Whedon's version, especially with the lasso scene. He doesn't have much to do here except look tough.

Batman I think I like better in this one. Bland, but at least he isn't quite the comic punching bag of the 2017.

Again, I think most unbiased people will see Whedon's version has some positives over this one, but overall slightly prefer this one. Though both are pretty bad. This movie just adds a lot of stuff, but it makes Steppenwolf arguably look even weaker than JL version. Don't know why we even need him as a villain.

Reviews. Movies are supposed to be Art and Art is subjective, i know some people that really do not like End game (what i consider commercial art) does that mean its a bad movie??

If you want to see bad just watch wanda vision or the CW superhero shows. The former only had 1 really good episode (episode 8) the rest was a complete waste of time. The later has no good episodes (although superman and lois started off ok but like the rest of the CW crap i am sure it will go down hill very fast).

I would argue Cyborg is kind of an after-thought in this as well. As a percentage of the movie I would argue he has the same amount of time in Whedon's version as this. Just because a movie doubles in length, and a character gets double the time on screen is nothing remarkable. Some of the Cyborg scenes I laughed at because they seem to be so poorly written. That is my opinion.

Watch the movie, before you tell me how much better it is is all I ask LOL. Only one of the two of us has seen it. I bet your friends have at least seen End Game before forming an opinion.

I haven't formed an opinion on this movie cause i havent seen it i am only saying what i read in reviews in regards to cyborg's part and Ray Fishers acting.

That is fine.

My opinion is that Cyborg's parts got cut because:

#1 The studio mandated they cut the movie in half from what Snyder was pumping out.
#2 Cyborg's 'emotional' scenes and what happens to his father are pretty bad in my opinion.

It sounds like Whedon is not a good person to work with on set, and should face whatever comes with that. But the worst parts of cyborg in 2017 movie make it into this one, and then on-top of that his emotional scenes fall flat to me. I think Cyborg as a plot device works though, but his character is whatever. I actually wanted a little bit more from the other justice league members....they show less character than Whedon's version, but I guess that isn't shocking given Whedon's ability to right dialogue.

Here is just one example of many

"After having the opportunity to watch Zack Snyder’s Justice League, it seems fair to say that something went drastically wrong at Warner Bros. when Whedon decided to reshape the movie in his image. For reasons likely known only to him and other executives at the studio, 99% of Fisher’s performance was reshot for the 2017 movie. Was it because he was a relative newcomer back when Justice League was being shot the first time around and his work simply didn’t cut the mustard under Snyder’s watch? Well, considering the fact he’s a standout in the "Snyder Cut," we’re going to go with no. Could it be that his original arc needed some tweaks to better fit the character or the plot of the theatrical version? Quite literally everything seen from Cyborg here is better than it was three-and-a-half years ago, whether it’s how he uses his powers, his general demeanour, or the character’s relationship with his father.

As both a young Black man and someone differently abled people can fully relate to, Cyborg is an inspiration in a way that should resonate with people of all races, genders, and abilities; this is a deep character with a lot to say. It turns out Snyder wasn’t exaggerating when he described the character as the heart of this movie, and it’s now clear that heart was torn out in 2017. However, that was then, and this is now, and it doesn’t feel like an exaggeration to say Fisher’s performance in the "Snyder Cut" could be one of the most important, best pieces of work we’ll see on any sized screen in 2021. It feels like this character's story is now being told at the right time, and regardless of whether this propels Fisher to superstardom, it should make getting his voice heard as he calls for accountability in Hollywood that much easier. Like the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement, that's a big win.

What we see in Zack Snyder’s Justice League feels authentic, real, and 100% relatable. Fisher has alleged that Johns told him "we can't have an angry Black man at the center of the movie." Well, Cyborg should be angry, and he should most definitely hate the world for what’s happened to him. His relationship with his father doesn’t always make for comfortable viewing, but why does would it? Silas Stone wasn’t there for his son, and then used technology to create...well, someone who is now more machine than man. As Victor clearly struggles with his new body, his hatred for his father is completely understandable, but you can also see there’s more to it than just that. The way things ultimately play out between them (and we’re not going to spoil anything here) also works perfectly, and Cyborg is one of the most complex, layered characters we’ve seen in a superhero movie for some time."

I am glad you are able to express your own thoughts to me. I welcome anybodies opinions, and people who come in with an open mind and not group think.

Once you see the movie, let's continue our discussion so we can talk about our own opinions more.

lol ok will do. Personally, I think discussing the part of cyborg regardless if you've seen the movie is fair game especially with all the crap going on with warner bros and Ray fisher- The whole point of my other post is that **** is going to get worse for WB and Whedon after more people see the difference in cyborgs part- its only going to help Ray fishers case

I’m not going inside Zac’s head..but I’m pretty sure one reason Cyborg was a focus was maybe Synder thought since WW and Aquaman were having their stand alone films upcoming at the time , he knew they didn’t need to be featured as much which was definitely the case . It’s a reverse of what Whedon did, Cyborg became the focal hero and WW and Aquaman took a backseat in Synder’s vision.

My only beef with Zac’s focus is Cyborg is a DC character that was never been a hero to be thought of as a true member of the JL . He will always be a Teen Titan and he’s not the type of character that DC considered Elite. He was never written that way. His purpose was always a intriguing but a side character in a group atmosphere.

And now that it’s obvious with Snyder and the WB future in any future projects in question, the over emphasis on Cyborg kind of comes off as a wasted choice because although a cyborg film could still happen . I don’t think WB will really invest too much into it. :lecture

That said, Fisher’s performance..absolutely top notch..phenomenal work

Let us judge it based on the material, not what stories are out there. I don't think we should be praising or condemning work we have seen without watching it first is all I am saying. I don't need to look at reviewers that have agendas or fanboys who will say its great regardless of how good it actually is. I like the forum better when we are expressing our own ideas, not pointing to Rotten Tomatoes scores or random reviews to express how we feel.

I managed to watch another 45 minutes... SPOILERS BELOW

That Darkseid battle was ****ing awesome. Seeing Zeus, Atlantis, Amazons, a freaking Green Lantern battle with Diana narrating was great. Darkseid chopping the Lantern?s hand off and reaching for the ring was so cool!!!

The rest, not so much. So much of this movie is cheesy/corny trash. The music is atrocious. The slow mo scenes with Aquamomoa and Flash were really really bad. I still can?t get over how bad the music selection was.

Ezra as Flash is still a terrible casting decision. Can?t stand it. I will die on this hill, Grant Gustin should have been cast in this.

I?m just glad there was one great scene from this.

Only 2 in a half hours to go.......

Yeah music definitely was a negative factor at times especially the stand alone songs were really..and I mean really unnecessary and they made some scenes unbearable at times. Bad choice Zac..really too cluttered :slap

It really makes me appreciate superhero movies like GOTG where, in my opinion, the music choices were superb and really fit with the movie and characters. Hell, all of Marvel did a great job with the soundtracks. ZSJL really missed the mark.
