Nice! The shot framing of the IMAX scenes alone made the upgrade worth it for me. Hope you end up feeling the same way.

I watched it with the director's commentary as soon as I got it, and Snyder actually helped ease a couple of my complaints with ZSJL. He references that Snyder Cut quite a bit in this BvS commentary and gets into some details about broader storyline concepts that were originally going to be followed up on in the future sequels. Some of it better connected the dots for me.

But one unrelated thing that made me laugh was when he's talking about trying to decide which kind of car Bruce Wayne would drive. He of course figured Bruce would drive the same car he does. :lol And that's why Zack's actual Aston Martin is the one in BvS that Bruce Wayne drives to the gala in. I didn't know that before hearing him talk about it here.

Watched ZSJL for the third time the other week, still feels as fresh as it did the first time.

Those 4k shots are beautiful Jye, I need to get myself a 4KTV at some point. His films are stunning in 4K.

Jye, what 4k tv do you own? Didn't think I would start getting 4k movies, but you are swaying me into your 4K cult. :lol

:lol :lol

Sorry but I never watched Heathers so when I think of WR I think of Alien Crapurrection!

Snyderverse might as well be Dr Zhivago when compared to AOTC lol

The fact that ZSJL is @45 minutes longer than the David Lean epic saga that you cited is all the evidence required to show how bloated it is. :rotfl

I actually gave it another chance over the weekend, splitting it up between two viewing sessions. Still found some stuff enjoyable (the Batmobile in action, Barry turning back time), but for me it just never maintains any momentum. For example, the entire build up to the final battle with Steppenwolf is agonizingly slow. He gets the last MB and immediately transports back to his stronghold at the nuclear power plant, but @15 minutes of movie time passes before the team makes its way there to take him on. He could have completed the unity 10 times over in that time span! Even if one ignores that, his decision making made no sense. He sent ALL of the parademons after Batman once his energy shield fell, leaving none to help him protect the MBs. Even all of them pursuing the Batmobile made little sense - at least in the previous version there was some weak logic behind it (Bruce using the high-pitched noise that drove them crazy to attract them). In this version he just asks - "C'mon you insects, follow me". :slap

I still didn't like (a) Darkseid being the loser during the Earth battle 5,000 years ago, (b) Silas Stone's speech to Victor about all the things he'll be able to do immediately after saving him with the MB (as if there was a MB-derived robot/human hybrid precedent for him to base such statements on lol) and (c) the silly, prolonged arrow of Artemis passage leading to Diana playing Lara Croft under the Temple. And let's not talk about the tacked on Knightmare dream sequence. Yes it looked cool, but it had absolutely no business being in the movie. :slap

Indeed she was!
I remember I loved Heathers back then, don't know if it holds up, haven't seen it in ages. At any rate, I think that movie would never get made nowadays...

And this is pretty sexy too...
