Yes, me and the three others definitely were, lol.

But the SS was intertwined with the "Cap No More/John Walker" storyline which was my favorite Cap run out of all the comics. So now no SS and a lame JW on Disney+. Sigh. Oh well I'll always have my EG Cap **** I guess, lol.

They were never making Serpent Society (unfortunately), they just created that logo as a joke.

Feige greenlighting CW *was* in response to the BvS announcement but that was after he had previously veto'd the Russos' request to do it. They were never making Serpent Society (unfortunately), they just created that logo as a joke.

What did the Russos request??

The Russos pitched the idea for Civil War, but Feige chose not to greenlight it. It wasn’t until Batman v Superman was first announced that he reversed that decision, which is why Civil War released so close to BvS.

If I recall correctly Captain Marvel didn’t get the green light until Wonder Woman did well too.

Yes, and originally it was scheduled for July 2018 but then got pushed (along with everything else) so they could shoehorn in Spider-man Homecoming. It still would have released after WW, but it was in the works well before WW released in 2017. But WW was announced to appear in BvS way back in 2013, so I think it was a reaction to that.

Yep, and then in BvS we had Flash going back in time to try and undo the coming Darkseid apocalypse. MCU/Feige always taking WB's failed ideas and turning them into gold, lol. WB chasing its own tail not once realizing that if they just stuck to their guns they could have beat Marvel to the punch in so many areas. But nope, too cowardly to follow through on anything until it was too late.

it mirrors the comics haha. A lot of the good characters and story lines appear in DC first and then Marvel just repackage them into their own books with more commercial success.

Thank goodness. I'll take all the Batfleck I can get.

So far Reeves has seemed adamant on The Batman being a contained trilogy, unless Geoff Johns shoehorns it into Flashpoint.

I don't think so? He stepped down from the role of President and Chief Creative Officer of DC Entertainment, but he's still part of DC. Maybe he isn't quite as involved anymore.

Also the recasts they've made for Alfred and Gordon further lead me to believe The Batman isn't simply a prequel.
