I've heard rumours that this might be back to just a 4 hour movie instead of 4 parts of a miniseries. If they do release it as a miniseries, I think HBO would be wise to also release it as one long movie. Personally I'd rather have a large 4 hour spectacle than small parts, especially to avoid the anti-climaxes 3 times as Jye said.

If it is 4 episodes, can't you just watch them all at the same time? Like I get you might have to select the next video and hit enter, but is a 20 second delay really that troublesome?

Yeah that's true it isn't that big of a deal in that sense. It's more about the pacing of the entire project; if you're taking a movie and splitting it into 4 parts I wonder how that would affect all the editing.

People are spending too much time looking for the stuff they don't like and go off on any little detail/rumor/news-bite...
Take the WW concept art for example. As far as I understand it, it was one concept art of one idea that was floated around and discarded, but people make a huge deal out of it. Why? It didn't end up on the screen, it has no bearing on the DCEU. It's just something that was toyed with and discarded. But no... people have to make a big deal out of it and make fun of it. Eh.

Adoring Zack Snyder fans will see their fandom vindicated with the Snyder-cut, and haters just the same.
I'm not an uber-fan of Snyder's work, but I do like his stuff more than the MCU, so I'm happy to see some of his vision restored. I think his JL will be decisively better than the theatrical cut, but there's no way it will appease the people who didn't like MoS or BvS.

Not sure if anyone caught it during one of his interviews, but Snyder admitted that he deliberately filmed what he planned on filming, in conflict in what he was told to film - more fun. Perhaps that right there is what got him canned in the first place.

I'm not looking for stuff to not like. It's just all the stuff i have seen doesn't look good or appealing. Hell it looks worse in some aspects. I always say I can change my mind and say I'm wrong but everything i've heard or seen doesn't look good. This movie is supposed to be his film done right

It just sounds like you have your mind made up already. If you didn’t like man of steel or BVS, I doubt this film is going to win you over.

Come on son. Stop. The main bad guy looks like a decepitcon with extra steps, the plot seems congested and the cgi doesn't look all too appealing. They made this as the so called better version but what i've seen so far looks meh. And like I said, i'd gladly eat my words if the end product looked nice

Some of the cgi does look questionable. Steppenwolf looks 10x better than the theatrical cut design, but even then the OG one had straight up PlayStation 3 looking graphics. Still everything about this version seems SO much better.

The plot hopefully isn’t congested, isn’t this four hours long?

Idk man that overly spiky look just looks too much and just seems silly imo. The old one, generic sure. but atleast it looks ltame. I can't take that design serious. It's like a child drew it. How does one even begin to put that on?

The new design looks worse to me. It looks like something a boy would draw. And at the end of the day its still the old man face in a crazy spiked dominatrix outfit. The CGI looks dated too.

But both are pretty terrible uninspired designs. The problem is it has to fit design wise into this bland transformers grey and muted colors.

Give me Thor Ragnarok and its homage to Kirby that makes it fun to watch.

Right? Unless he looks completely different and a mother box somehow causes his outfit to morph into that, it's a complete non-starter for me.

I don't see how anyone thinks the "new" Steppenwolf looks better. Looks "cooler"? Maybe. If this was a comic book, video game, or animated movie. But for a live action movie it looks awful. Worse than the original awful design to me as well. It's as if Snyder is just trying to make a character look more badass than the MCU Thanos. Darkseid looks even worse. A little kid on the playground shouting "my guy is cooler than yours!! ".

This version of JL is not gonna be better than the original at all. Just... a different kind of awful. Maybe Snyder should've used the money he was given to make the movie actually LOOK better (the CGI and effects) rather than putting everything in he wanted in the 1st place like a little kid throwing a tantrum until he gets his way.

Everything in JL was bad.... Everything. Whedon nor anyone else could've saved that mess. They (WB/DC) needed to scrap it and start over. The only reason to see the Snyder cut is to see what the movie was originally supposed to be, not because it will be any better....

Still everything about this version seems SO much better.

I am aware there are some people online that agree with you. If you enjoy it, more power to you.

But nearly ever DC fan I have talked to thinks this is going to be just as bad, if not worse than theatrical. Snyder already revealed the ending, and its another unoriginal eye roll. I think what we are going to get in his version is more death, more Snyder sadness and gloom, and so much stuff packed in you have no time to breathe.

So bad its good? Hopefully. If not I got the theatrical release which is at least fun sometimes.

I can understand being upset if he was treated poorly, but somebody has to tell him that it's time to move on... I think everybody got his point by now. I mean, I wish him all the best and I hope he has a great career, but this is getting a bit ridiculous.

Regarding the Steppenwolf design, yeah, so far it doesn't look so hot, but I'll hold my judgement until I see the final product in action on my TV screen. I'll say one thing though: it does look a lot more interesting than what we saw in Whedon's JL.

First time I saw it it reminded me a lot of Dan Simmons' The Shrike from the Hyperion novels.

Like move on. They can't recast Cyborg because your going to get social media to bully and destroy him. DC basically can't use this character now in their movies for the foreseeable future.

This is what Fisher should be saying:

An investigation was done, and I found it satisfactory. I believe my time as Cyborg is done for now, but I hope this situation doesn't stop DC from pursing the Cyborg character. I believe this character can be a great addition to the DC movie universe, and can be a source of pride for both black actors and black superheroes. I just want to thank the fans for being supportive through this.
