No im dead serious lol. What would be funny is if you think that is true to the character
All this time you've said you understood it and bitched and complained that it's bad but you didn't actually understand it.

Hard to say what you are arguing is true to the character, we don't see what is actually in the movie the same way.

Ok then please enlighten me on why all of a sudden everyone thought Snyder was this deep poet after he pretty much gaslit people into thinking each scene had a deep meaning to it when it didn’t
They didn't all of a sudden, that's my point.

I don't know... but maybe he's trying to "deconstruct" the classic "hero" in fantasy and sci-fi movies here.

Since here the "hero" does not save the princess but instead it is revealed that the "heroine" is the one that actually killed the princess herself and is now trying to live with it... Or at least she thought she did... Big reveal at the end :horror

It is not done very well though...

But Kora is never meant to be "the classic hero". She's an anti-hero from the start. Like so many before her. The hero with a dark past that has "hung up her guns" -- again, another cliche used in its formulaic tradition. I just don't see the intellectual deconstruction here.

I watched the first part when it released and felt like I’ve just blown two hours I’ll never get back. I can’t find any reason to even be bothered with the second half. It’s just another two hours I could be spending with my cat or talking a nice stroll through the trees where I live. Hell, I could use the time to wash and wax my car and enjoy myself more than wasting another minute watching this kind of drivel. It’s an absolute waste of space. 💩

If you think no one connected with Cyborg you are wrong.
Black Panther was a super average MCU movie, I believe the Cyborg movie would have crushed it.
lol buddy nobody cared about cyborg in the bvs movie or jl movie and black panther is the most popular black superhero of all time. Made bank. Cyborg is mostly known as a teen titans team mate which is cool. But that monotone boring cyborg from the Snyder films was dumb. Not to mention cliche

What are you talking about? Understood what? And boozing Bruce Wayne who kills and brands people isn’t true to the character. Sorry to say. There isn’t anything to understand if it’s bad. It sucks. Batman has killed before but he’s not an alcoholic rage man who just goes around branding people like some crazy psycho

Oh dear god, are we doing this crap again?
Why the **** can't people just move on, this is so tiresome.

Anyway, will give this a go later on, see if it's as mediocre as the first one.

I'm not arguing any different.

The part I highlighted earlier.

Nah if t800 still gonna say some silly outrageous things I’m gonna comment on it. Besides this thread would be dead and buried if we didn’t. 😂. The debate keeps the thread alive.

Should rename the thread “is Snyder that bad or is it a deconstruction”

My slow motion review: thisssssssssssss mmmmooooovvvvviiiiieeeeee wwwwwwaaaaaassssss rrrrreeeeaaaaaalllllyyyyyyy hhhhhhaaaaaarrrrrrrddddddd tttttoooooooooo ssssssssiiiiiiiiittttttt tttttthhhhhhrrrrrrrruuuuuuuuuuu.

(The robot, whose name I have already forgot, is still the best thing in this generic mess of a movie)

It was boring lazy trash. It's already completely irrelevant and forgotten just days after release.

It's the movie equivalent of a bad night at a Mexican restaurant, but less memorable.

Meanwhile.......somewhere Alatar is on his 18th back-to-back viewing of the weekend....

For the same amount of time some people have wasted defending these two films, they could have up-skilled themselves and got a degree in a new career that doesn't allow them so much free time.

:slap

The visuals were all good and I liked the kinda real world connectiveness, in that way, that it's all high-tech, but it still produces exhaust fumes and other things, also the "light sabers" letting sparks fly all over the place. That looked great.

But that blur on the outside of most scenes, ALL the damn slomo and that it was just so generic, really does show that I was right:

How do you want to re-do Star Wars, if it already has it all? You can't re-invent the wheel and if you can't...maybe just don't try?
I like what Synder does, like the DCEU (hoping Netflix picks it up, although highly inprobable), but this WAS highly generic, yeah.
