Imagination is still alive for those of us that choose to hold on to it. I like the background aliens in the ST just as much as I did the ones in the OT simply because I've never let go of my inner-child. These two guys from TFA inspired lots of imaginary fun for me honestly!

Really hope they re-purpose some of these creatures for use in The Mandalorian or Cassian series, rather than them gathering dust in a movie warehouse somewhere. This guy at the front looks amazing ! Now I need to go look at my "The Art of ....." books. Love this stuff.

I think it's just more of a case of SW fans perusing SW threads, seeing this one getting bumped, clicking on it to see if there's any news and instead witnessing a debate about the quality of background characters and simply being interested enough to weigh in. I don't think it's about sour grapes or raining on anyone's parade.

If you look in the purple haired lady thread, there is active gender baiting about a none existant figure. So you have your say I guess.

This. To be honest they should probably separate sequel threads into their own separate folder. At this point the Disney made sequels are their own separate entity anyway. It might make everyone happier, but it might also kill the sequel threads.

I did buy the Old Leia figure recently as it was an excellent representation of a classic hero.

I agree. I see threads get bumped during down time at work (like now), read them, and throw in my opinion. I hated the Last Jedi but it has nothing to do with wanting Ackbar over Poe. Ackbar is just a more appealing design. I prefer alien characters over human.

I am all for healthy back and forth about the quality of the sequel trilogy in a movie thread dedicated to discussing the movie but when you use a thread for a figure to opine about your hatred for the movie the figure comes from you start to inch closer and closer to Troll country...there isn't even an Ackbar Hot Toys figure but if folks have a burning need to understand preferences of one figure over the other maybe start a separate thread...Ackbar vs Dameron which Hot Toys figure would you prefer...maybe take every figure from the non-existent figure wish list thread and start separate threads polling each one against the Poe Dameron figure too...I know I would personally prefer Travis Bickle, Michael Corleone, guys from Heat, David Bowie, and Tony Soprano over Poe Dameron so put me down for that...

May also depend how people view the threads. I personally only look at threads I've subscribed to. Others may use that daily thread view where all threads are shown with new posts, and jump in from time to time.

I'm sure that must be the case for those that post the same comment as someone else maybe 1 page back. They just don't read the full thread.

Dunno, but I hope Hot Toys does Poe. I like the X-Wing fighter gear look. In the same breath, I also hope HT finally make some classic aliens like Ackbar soon. How many Big 3 versions do we need ?

Exactly. If people want to extol the qualities of Ackbar, then they should start a speculation thread or post it on one of the wishlist threads. But to go on the Poe thread and bring up Ackbar to bash TLJ is off topic and kind of crappy. Reflexive TLJ bashing is getting pretty old. I’m sure people can exert some restraint and understand that airing their grievances is not appropriate in all situations.

I actually hope they come up with some different flight gear. I love the ST, but their designs are sometimes too close to the OT. I would like to see some cool new ships. The PT featured more wild and lavish designs compared to the OT/ST.

I'd like to see some flight suits that are a bit thinner that the ST ones (they're kinda puffy) and maybe have a full helmet/face mask. I don't think they had flight suits specifically, but some of the designs in the old Star Wars Legacy comic were pretty cool.

I don't mind the flight gear as it is now. But I do mind how now Poe and Finn wore the same tan leather jacket in TFA, Poe in TLJ looks like he's wearing Han's brown leather jacket from TFA, and Han from Solo has yet another brown/tan jacket!

The blurry picture we saw at least shows Poe without a jacket, so that's a start! And I think Finn was wearing a vest, maybe?

Exactly, Poe in flight gear also gives the collection more contrast. Two guys in brown jackets is boring. He's suppposed to be the best pilot in the galaxy, so have him in X-Wing flight gear. That scene in TLJ where the camera pans around on the X-Wing while he takes out FO troops etc was one of the best original scenes in the movie.

I'm sure we'll get him for Ep9. Hot Toys are running out of old Big 3 old options, so they'll have to do him.

In this leaked pic from IX, Poe looks pretty cool. More original than his TLJ outfit at least. Finn.... not a fan of the choice of pants. Still, I think I'd rather have the pilot over this one.

I do like the design of his pilot outfit. Definitely one of the best from the ST.
