I got to that first episode a week or two ago…… I didn’t survive.

To counter the look of utter contempt present in that picture I'll post this screencap from an episode I wished was so much better. (And makes me want more outfit options than we'll ever get with this line.)

I’m excited, been itching for another ENT figure. My only qualm is no Vulcan tricorder
Same, I'm honestly baffled by it. Archer ordering T'Pol to hand it over to Shran to expose the Vulcans spying on Andoria is the single act that eventually snowballed into the birth of the Federation itself.

Thought I'd watch some Enterprise because of this. Give it a fourth or fifth chance. Maybe it would make me want to buy some Enterprise figures.

Nope. It's so bad... Archer is such a moron in Episode 1-2 and the Vulcans are right. Unlike Picard and Sisko whom usually do awesomely written stuff that I can't usually fault so obviously, the Enterprise crew has a penchant for saying and doing things that I just think make them dumb characters.

"you have no idea how much I'm restraining myself from knocking you on your @$%." what are you a child Archer? What was the point of that? To intimidate? To throw a fit like a toddler?

I'll keep watching but Imma roll my eyes more. The show that tries too hard and has somehow aged worse than all Star Trek before it...

Guess I won't get Tpol but to be fair she doesn't say stupid stuff as much.

EDIT: I guess I just hate it when there's unecessary antagonism that seems purely based on dumb stuff like "I'm a vulcan racist because they won't give us all the tech". Everyone is so pissy and toddler-like. Kind of too close to reality lol.

Yeah the characters often came across like a bunch of school children, but I thought Blaylock somehow managed to make T'Pol seem a lot more interesting and nuanced than the rest. And a whole lot more mature.

That mouth, though. The whole lower part of the face. T'Pol had luscious lips, but this is exaggerated to a slightly cartoonish degree. The eyes are very big too, but I'll let that go. Sometimes a figure looks right, but has a stylized quality, as if it's an animated/anime version of the character. I suppose I'll still buy it.

Well, it's about as far removed from First Contact as we are from the Civil War.
I find it refreshing that the crew is essentially bungling their way through the stars just like the Vulcans thought they would. To me, that seems realistic, but it really annoyed people who wanted the absolute perfection of the Fed flagships we were used to.
There's a lot of filler in Enterprise, a lot of dull stuff you can easily skip up to season 3. I actually put that list together for my daughter, who wanted to watch Trek in chronological order, if you're interested. Season 3 is good, and I actually thought season 4 was excellent.

Enh, I don't think you're being unreasonable or should force yourself through it, but you're still making a pretty big writeoff imo.

TNG-ENT were all pretty rough for the first couple seasons, S1-2 of TNG in particular are nigh unwatchable to me (I would literally rather watch the animated TOS series).

Even Sisko, my favourite captain, was openly hostile towards Picard for his actions as Locutus, as if Picard was responsible for anything he did while assimilated by the Borg lol. What a weird way to open a TNG spin-off! I found that very dumb and immature for a Starfleet officer, and it ticked me off when Shaw did the same thing 30 years later too. Pretty sure these guys should know how the Borg work!

I give that a pass because they were both IN that battle. Sisko lost his wife. Shaw his friends.
It seems very human to put your resentment on the person who was the face of that assault. And it says something that once they both finally got to actual know Picard, their attitudes changed.

Shaw's speech being a copy/paste of Sisko's bugged me from a screenwriting standpoint, it didn't zing because we already heard this in Emissary. But I guess in-universe it's a common occurrence for Picard to hear "Oh we've met before..."

Yeah she does have that slightly caricaturish look that Seven had. But that kinda goes for the majority of Exo figures so I'm sort of used to it by now.

I think the sculpt on T’Pol is a bit odd too. Looks more like the team who handled the VOY figures in my opinion.
TBH Voyager was my least favorite ST till disco , only thing I liked was when they added Lynn Zimmermann to the cast ( was Jeri Ryan's name when I went to HS & MS with her didn't like her back then she was stuck up ). But to me the Voy figures are the weakest of the EXO series .
