The tutorials and tips are from the kunai notes that are occasionally thrown around (the first stage has like 3 of them in the first 5 min). Also a handful of books and such are found later for lore. Game is actually a bit like an action Dark Souls in a way.

The first game has the most coherent story even if sparse.... it gets kooky after this.

Sigma 2 is still fun since the combat is pretty much the same as OG 2, just compared to original it's hard to ignore the things taken out.

Yeah I found the kunais slightly helpful, they tell you what you can do but not how to do it in any way lol, not difficult though, I figures out the controls pretty quick. Now im just trying to get the hang of making the combat smooth and learn the combos.

Still loving the game, just gets more fun as time goes on. I'm on chapter 7 or 8 right now.

What is the consensus on the figures released so far for this game? None of them look stellar imo, the SW Ryu looks pretty good but I'm wondering, is that his look based on a costume in one of the other games? Doesn't look quite like the one in sigma.

SW is based on Ninja Gaiden 3.

Best looking figure so far is easily the 1/12 Amazing Yamaguchi.

The masked sculpt is best on the SW toys, but the body and proportions are off. Don't know why his scarf is gray either. The costume is also in Sigma as an unlockable.

The revoltech face (well, eyes in this case) is a bit cartoony and stylized, and I don't like that it's based on 2, which is his worst costume.... but the proportions look better than SW even if it's also a bit stylized.

I just bought it from hobby genki since they have the exclusive and yen is very weak. Like 90ish shipped for me since I bought two ($180 total). Only thing is you have to pay upfront. Revoltech exclusive versions tend to do well also aftermarket.

Completed the game last night, been busy and dealing with a lot of **** lately so took awhile. But I REALLY enjoyed it. Certainly the best action slasher Ive played to date, loved the atmosphere, areas, and bosses.

I did hate that boss fight against the devil, where its basically 3 consecutive fights in a row, I tried for hours with only 3 heals because I was too lazy to go back to a muramasa statue to get more heals lol, eventually I went back and to get more heals, only took a couple tries after that.

I've started 2 Sigma, and am watching a full retrospective as I play through, but the vid I'm watching is on the original 2, I can see how downgraded 2 Sigma is compared to the original. Oh well lol, the graphics look great at least.

Are you playing Sigma 2 on PC? Modders created a mod that makes it play like the vanilla NG2 Xbox360 version with more enemies on screen, enemy types and enemy encounter placements replicated during each encounter throughout the stages, de-limbed body parts don’t disappear, enemies' health are huge sponges like in Sigma 2.

Xbox because its free on Game pass, though that means I could probably get it on PC, too late now though 😅 😅
