Acg Tifa is practically the same though imo with a silicone body and SGD you have the option to get it without the silly extra part. Acg does have a better likeness. Actually, I just saw SGD 2B yesterday and there's a static pose version that will make it look much more like a statue. Would be cool if SGD did that with Tifa with an updated sculpt and a Dolphin Punch uppercut pose. Shoryuken! Oops, I mean... Limit break

Im happy there are now studios appearing with good products like Toys Era and ACG to compete against GT. I mean, its not I wish GT to sink, but competition in market is always good for us consumers and quality wise on the studio side

I agree. I adore GT’s figures released thus far. But there comes a point when they need to stay on their feet and continue pushing for better and better. I mean, it’s not coincidence that GT are revising their Tifa after ACG’s preorder was getting closer.

Again, I like GT’s figures…but the attitude I felt from the boss with regards to Tifa was “ive tried and tried, and this is it. Take it or leave it.”

GT's boss said back then that he was aiming to make the best Tifa, so imagine him being outplayed by a newcomer, you talk you act.

I’m surprised they used the actual name to begin with. There’s a reason SooSooToys does vague but related naming for their figures. John Lander (Homelander), The Boss Man (Kingpin) etc etc. ACG and GT should be doing the same. Playing with fire using the actual names.

Yeah that always struck me as weird. Almost like a direct challenge to these companies. It’s like “yeah, that’s right. We made this and called it THAT. What chu gonna do about it??”

Making claims of ‘laying low’,yet the product, packaging and NAME can never be mistaken for the real thing

I remember the first third party figure I was really excited for was the Fire Figures Ezio all those years ago. That company also foolishly used the real name to market the figure, and was almost immediately found out by Ubisoft and forced to cancel the figure.

From what I recall, I remember them using the Ubisoft logo as well. They were lying to customers, and making it seem like it was licensed when it wasn't.

I actually didn't remember that. That's... ballsy to say the least

I've heard of gamers talking about FFVII for over 25 years now.
But after playing it for the first time, I think what surprised me the most so far is how the personalities between Tifa and Aerith seem completely switched.
Aerith's sarcastic/snarky dialog and how shes always throwing subtle jabs at Cloud and his reactions to them are hilarious.
I always pictured her to be this sweet, innocent flower girl, which she sort of still is. But dang, shes really keeping poor Cloud on his feet. I definitely feel his frustration. Lol
As for Tifa, well, shes my wife now so everyone back off!
