This series from the same creator is an depth focus on the cantina:

There's 13 videos in all since he added a fill in chapter today.

Wow! Those are great. Just what i need for my Mos Eisley level.

Thanks for posting that, I will definitely give them all a watch. Here is another pretty interesting series of videos featuring Tom Spina from Regal Robot:

I’m on the verge of caving and ordering all of the cantina aliens and just being resigned to losing my NRDs if the early reviews aren’t looking good. I’m not as interested personally in the Jabba’s palace characters, thankfully.

Things like Duros wearing Escape from the Planet of the Apes costumes, and Brainiac/Pons Limbic wearing the DC Comics-Republic serials Spy Smasher costumes are a total mind'F!

Spy Smasher was a real surprise turning up as a costume in the cantina. It was also one of the serials mentioned by both Lucas and Spielberg as source material for Raiders of the Lost Ark.

When they met, Jim Steranko said that the back seat of Spielberg's car was stacked with a multitude of film cans. Zorro's Fighting Legion and Spy Smasher were among them.

While I was aware of the great Spy Smasher, Zorro's Fighting Legion, Steranko connections and homages.

I was not aware of Steranko seeing the actual film canisters in in the back of Speilberg's car anecdote.
Love that image.
Two creators channeling the pulpy serials they grew up with. Then repurposing them for a whole new gen.

This guy wearing that costume becomes such a bizarre nonsensical manifestation of that.

I'm now going to picture some Gyrosub/Flying Wing hybred is parked in a hanger outside the Cantina, And he is just there picking up intel on his quest to bring down the Evil Empire.

The Steranko anecdote came from the book, Steranko: Arte Noir by Jim Steranko, J. David Spurlock & Angel de la Calle.

This is the quote:

The back seat of [Spielberg's] car was stacked with a multitude of film cans. Steranko noted a few of their titles: Spy Smasher and Zorro's Fighting Legion, the serial reference Lucas had mentioned during their initial phone call.

My main interest in this fig is to make him up as SWHS Bludlow/Ludlow to go with my SWHS Snaggletooth/Zutmore. Labria has a larger role in the SWHS cantina (where he pulls a Jawa/Greedo ANH blaster on Bea Arthur to gain entry) than he does in ANH so now considering getting him as SWHS whereas before I didn't think I wanted to get him.

Is Sideshow's Greedo belt accurate? Seems like its missing a belt box.
It's completely inaccurate to ANH, matched instead to Battlefront video game Greedo's belt (which itself is based on the late-2000s belt that started with Hasbro's VOTC Greedo 4" figure and the original Sideshow Greedo, which was seemingly a rework of Han's ANH belt.)

Greedo's ANH belt should be a creamy-biege color leather belt with many more belt boxes and an orange-reddish leather holster that loops directly onto the belt (versus the cowboy hanging loop style holster like Han has.)

This incorrect Han-type brown belt is obviously some kind of LFL mandate.

Kit's price was too good, so I cancelled my Sideshow Ex.

The Sideshow cancellation email confirms they'll refund the NRD, so nothing lost.

Any pre-payments (including the non-refundable deposit) will be refunded to the payment method(s) originally used within 2 to 5 business days.

How did you cancel? You have to do a chat session with them? I didn't see any way to cancel it in the "orders details" page.
