Bidding goodbye to this thread, as it leaves page 1 and goes into oblivion. Farewell to those of you like me who have been following this one since New Year's Eve (!)
I will once again put into the universe (and hope for manifestation) that Hot Toys would release/give up the license for comic-based figures (assuming they have it).
I'm far too cynical by now to think they'll ever give up on movie or video game-licensed DC figures, but instead will continue to treat us to 1 figure per movie/show (if we're lucky), while Star Wars gets releases for random droids or Storm Trooper variants that were in a movie or show for one frame.
But at least, if another company could take on comic-based figures, I would be eternally happy. I know the Sideshow figures from a few years back had LOTS of problems (mainly the head sculpts, IMO), but geez, we're due for a new line, ideally artist-inspired (Neal Adams or Jim Lee Batman, John Byrne or Curt Swan Supes, Perez WW, etc.)
With that, I'm out...
