Great futzing!
I ordered a leather replacement suit from Rise customs for mine earlier this week. I don't have any flaking issues, but since I'm completely rebuilding and resculpting him to be ESB accurate, I wanted to go all out in making this the best Vader it can be.
For the 20th anniversary perhaps? They already have the prototype, so just make it after being teased a decade ago:I would love a 1/4 ANH version but expect that we’ll get either a 1/4 mythos battle damaged or 1/4 ROTS - I’d take either with the crispy Hayden portrait
I’m pretty nostalgic for ROTS Vader, so I don’t know if I’d need it in 1/6 but I could do 1/4 as something of a centerpiece.Re: HOT TOYS OS 1/4 Darth Vader (pic courtesy Seanxlong)

You can follow my progress in my custom thread here if you're interested: https://www.collectorfreaks.com/threads/agonistes-star-wars-customs.238985/Thank you. I have real leather suit and boots for him(I forget who produced the runs...Hnlee maybe was the name?...was a while back probably when 1/4 was released), just haven't put it on yet. When I eventually set my shelves back up, I'll probably get around to it. Quarter Vader deserves the proper respect! Looking forward to your pics when he's complete
Aww, man - you gotta post pics when you update the figure. I’ve not followed the thread close enough to remember a Rise discussion. I bet it will look amazing. You ever think of looking for pegs on eBay instead of mauling the boot? I have to believe there’s a compatible peg that existsI have a question for those of you who replaced the bodysuit: How do you remove the ankle pegs from the feet on this?
I received my Rise customs leather replacement suit, which also comes with new boots (including the foot inside). I can see that the inside of the boot is angled where the joint/peg inserts, towards the front of the foot. But I can't get a good grip on the HT peg to pull it out of the foot. I don't want to force it and possible end up breaking the peg.
Any advice?
Does Rise make 1/6 leather suits for Vader and if so, how can I reach out to them? I tried googling them and couldn't find themI have a question for those of you who replaced the bodysuit: How do you remove the ankle pegs from the feet on this?

The thing is, a part of the ankle and lower shin is stuck to the ankle peg as well.Aww, man - you gotta post pics when you update the figure. Yeah they do. I dealt with them through Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/risecollectible.toysDoes Rise make 1/6 leather suits for Vader and if so, how can I reach out to them? I tried googling them and couldn't find them
Yep, after getting the 1:6 ROTJ version, I am selling my 1:4 scale, despite getting it a little over a month ago.Now that I have the 1:6 scale version, I am tempted to sell this.
I have literally the same question. I have still not been able to use the boots because I don't get how the peg works. I'm also worried because even if I get the peg out, I don't know how it'll fit into the other leather boot on an angle. I can vaguely recall emailing him and he said that it requires a longer peg and installs on an angle, but he never told me which peg or what diameter the ball would be on the end of the peg. At this point, I might just pack it with blue tac and float him in the new boots, or just continue using the pleather boots until they flake to fabric, lol.I have a question for those of you who replaced the bodysuit: How do you remove the ankle pegs from the feet on this?

If you figure out a solution, post it here, I'll do the same.
HT pegs om vaders could be tricky. There is no special trick to do it. It is just a simple peg that you have to pull out.
Can you warm it please before you pull it out?
Careful, extra heat makes your generic HT boots flake. If the original boots are not flaking. Just use it.
Ours are just spare so you can use when the original is flakinf
Pretty much the only option we all have. I wish someone would make a peg removal jig for all sizes. Would make life much easier.Rise customs told me this:
I spent about 20 min yesterday with different pliers trying to remove the pegs, but wasn't able to.
I'm going to try one more time with a hairdryer, but if that doesn't work, I'm probably also keeping the HT boots on for now. And if it starts flaking, then I can take it apart and destroy the HT boots in the process if necessary.
