Also, looking side by side, I prefer the sculpt from DS1. Benedict is a skinny dude and also his hairline seems more accurate from DS1.

Really good work on both though.

Cap is the same. As you said I pointed out the movie suits are different, but the figure suit isn’t. Not the prototype anyway. It’s the CW suit with slight changes. A new head. So it’s exactly Dr strange. New head, slight alteration to the costume a couple of new accessories. How is that different?

you think Hot Toys won't make the suit movie accurate? And do you honestly think the Captain America Civil War suit looks the same as the Civil War suit when displayed on a shelf to anywhere near the same extent that Doctor Strange will? If so, we'll just have to agree to disagree

I'll probably get this one too. This will go with the IW figures. My original will hang out with the Xensation figures of the Ancient One and Kaecilius.

I didn’t say they wouldn’t correct the issues. But we also don’t know if they eventually change anything on the Strange production figure. So all we have is the prototypes to go by.

As for how they look on a shelf. Yeah, they do look pretty close. The IW looks like a dirty CW suit. Like you dropped it in the dirty. Even if they change things to be accurate it still looks the same except for minor details, and dirt. So what your saying is if they make strangers costume dirty then that changes everything? Not buying that. Cap is a slight update to a suit from AoU, that’s on its fourth figure. All with very minor changes. Dr strange is in that same place. Slight updates to an older costume.

I think they both look cool and if the first is any indication I expect to be floored upon opening the infinity war version. On that note, I threw in my pre order.

Based on what hot toys said in the listing it’s a new hair piece, new paint for the head, a new body and the same costume and cloak(with minor color changes in a few areas)

Put in a pre-order. Looking forward to comparing this to the original in hand.

Edit: I'll be surprised if this stays up long at places like BBTS given the prices the original has been going for.

Can't say I'm not disappointed that Strange was the next IW character announced since it looks so similar to the original. Would have preferred to see Bucky, Falcon, or War Machine before Strange.

So even if everything else is the same - we have a cap with a significantly different head sculpt and a dirty suit to match his infinity war look. With Doctor Strange, we get a slightly different head sculpt with what looks to be almost exactly the same suit (with cap you can spot the differences immediately from far away, with strange you'll have to know what exactly you are looking for and you have to get up close). We're obviously of two different opinions about this so I'll leave it at that.
