The original post asked what the fastest waitlist time was. I said under an hour. Is that not correct? For Sideshow. Then you made the comment about a movie promo having different numbers to a regular release. So I said, we don’t actually know that. Then you where confused by that. So I explained why they may not be so different. Not sure why that’s hard to follow.

The original post was;

"I wonder how much longer it will be available at Sideshow? Can anyone recall the quickest a figure has gone to waitlist?".

"It" being Doctor Strange, not some promo which could sell out in "minutes". Therefore the context is a normal pre-order figure.

And let’s us that logic...he said “a figure”...which in fact means any figure. And I qualified my response that the fastest to sell out where special editions just so it was clear.

I don’t get what point your trying to prove.

You made the explicit point that the numbers made where limited and I just pointed out that we don’t actually know that.

Does it really matter anyway? This one isn’t going to waitlist anytime soon. HT likely isn’t closing off orders to Sideshow with a year to go before release, not for a regular release.

I would like to assume since IW is likely going to be ht biggest cash cow for while, they will likely make as many as they think they can sell. Don't quote me or anything.

I think it will be available for a while, but if you really want it, what's a small NRD to secure it? If you're going to get it for sure, it's not like you're losing that money. I ordered mine through Sideshow.

yea i actually like the deposit. feels good to have a portion of something payed off(even if it’s a very small portion) from the start.

I would like to know what the max 3rd party shops can get. Im sure BBTS gets the most but is it 200, 500, 1000? AE gets 75 or 50? Doesn't matter but it would be interesting to find out.

Not sure how the cutoff dates are for 3rd party stores to let Hot Toys know to produce more to have Sideshow distribute extra units. Looks like demand is greatly outnumbering the supply/preorders. It’s crazy to see even recent regular Iron Man suits going for $1,000.

Great looking figure and a great character in IW. Not sure what the rush is though... since the best half of the movie is still a year away.

That said, I doubt they'd make a Dr. Strange #3 so soon... or would they?

I really hope they don’t make the same characters for Avengers 4 unless the outfits are completely different than what were shown in Avengers 3. But I really rather have Hot Toys tackle new characters instead of just new suits. People have a chance to preorder Doctor Strange right now, so they should and not hope for Hot Toys to make a new version for Avengers 4.

I would like to see them release Wasp, Nebula, Valkyrie, Ronan, Mantis, Goliath/Giant-Man, Captain Marvel, etc.

I really like the look of this one. As we all know any new movie runs the risk of having a different look, just to sell merchandise. So I'm in for this excellent look, and excellent sculpt.

The next one is another lottery both for when it will be made and how it will look.

I think we might get Cap in his Avengers volume 1 uniform with no helmet on--there have been behind the scenes pics showing Chris Evans with that look.
