Luckily I only have issues with the base and not the actual bust... which i was worried about... heres a few pics... isnt that AWESOME?!? riiiiiiiight. Quality Control really took a dump on this one. I own many Sideshow products (30-40?) and have never come close to the disappointment I have with this piece.

I honestly don't know yet. It's one of those things. i would love to keep this if it were in better condition. I'd hate to miss the opportunity to have one of these things but seriously... for all the cash, its not worth it... i even thought about repainting the base myself which I'm pretty handy with but then again, what did I pay for... It is a pickle. But seriously, I'm going to contact the retailer I purchased it from and Sideshow to question their QC and to see if there are many replacement because it seems alot of people sent theres back. otherwise I may just return the whole thing and keep the $$$

That warrants a replacement. I haven't seen paint flake off like that on any of SS pieces. I am sure Cornerstore can get a replacement from Sideshow for you.

That is unbelievable...were their flakes of piant in the box when you opend it? Or were they already missing?...
Honestly, how does QC miss something like that....did they hire 5 year olds to do the job..and paint them to?? It still blows my mind how they can screw up a paint job on such a simple structure. Im sure most of us here know someone... who knows someone... who knows someone that can do a million times better of a paint job than this. How can SS with all the resources they have not find anyone better to do such a simple paint application? I mean really...to ruin a piece with so much hype around it and such a high price tag...on such a large scale...how???

seems that you have alot of pent up anger towards this piece. do you and IM 1:1 have some past history we need to know about????
seriously though, it looks like to me that it's either a primer problem, or even the absence of primer on the fiberglass. could even of been a moisture problem at the time of painting, which i hope not since if it is then we'll be seeing more than just this one having this problem.

WOW!! These defects are just pathetic.
SS's QC has been getting really bad lately. It hasn't reached Gentle Giant's QC yet but it's getting there.
At least Sideshow has a great return policy for defects but at $700 this piece should be absolutely perfect.

I volunteer to work for the QC team for free in China... In return, just provide me housing and food. I'll save Sideshow all the shipping cost for replacement...probably saving more than $100K in return fees annually.
