I personally think there are market and audience for both brands.
Now Jazzinc is in the place, I see more HT vehicles like a premium display option. Like a diorama extra accessory in order to « dress » and pair with the figure.
You get all the mood of the movie for a decent price.
Now if you want a true replica, Jazzinc is here.
Have had the HT 89 Batmobile during 10 years and now the Jazzinc one, I can tell you that they are 2 completely different vehicles.
Whether it's 1/6 or 1/12, its direct competition. Most of us myself included would prefer 1/12. If HT brings to market a 1/12 Batwing, that directly competes with JI even if they don't do 1/12 because those of us who can't afford $2000+ and even if we could but don't have the space will buy their 1/12's. If this happens, I could see JI going way into 1/12 as a response and defending their position as a leader in vehicle makers.

I could definitely see more vehicles being made by a bunch of companies as they learn to get better at making them, just like everyone knows how to do artisan figures now.

I’m not knocking on HT, I want them to produce a 22 Batmobile down the line for sub $500 so I can get one without all the bells and whistles
Hot Toys' paint would be 10x better in my opinion than Jazz Inc based on what we've seen so far. JI does well with the single color but their paint patterns on the Batwing are what prevented me from getting it. It was just "off". And the Hot Toys 22 Batmobile preview had incredible weathering...which doesn't always make it home with the produced product but I couldn't order the JI version knowing there was a better looking version that had the smallest of chances of releasing.

I've come to the conclusion that 1/6 scale vehicles aren't for me - unless we're talking about something small like a motorcycle or the Batpod. Cars and upwards have too big a footprint.

I received the Tomy Back to the Future Delorean in 1/10 scale and not only do I find it the better option in terms of minimizing space consumption I also find it has a great sense of authenticity with its almost total cold metal body - which you simply can't do at 1/6 because of that increased weight. But 1/10 and 1/12 is small enough to do it - at high end pricing of course, obviously McFarlane doesn't go in for that with their Batmobiles.

So this is where I'm at - give me a high-quality 1/10 or 1/12 1989 Batmobile and I would box up my Hot Toys 1/6 for sale, I wouldn't need one at that size anymore. I'd also be in for the Batwing. I guess we'd be talking 1/12 from Jazzinc since that's what they've previously done and is the more typical scale. Tomy went for 1/10 with their Delorean specifically because of NECA's BTTF figure line, filling in where NECA probably were never going to.

Vehicles of interest for me now

1989 Batmobile (1/10 or 1/12)
1989 Batwing (1/10 or 1/12)
BTTF II Flying Delorean (Tomy 1/10 making the most sense)
Robocop's Ford Taurus (for NECA 1/10 or MAFEX 1/12)
T2 Harley Davidson Fatboy (for Hot Toys 1/6 and NECA 1/10)
T2 Kawasaki Police Bike for T-1000 (for Hot Toys 1/6 and NECA 1/10)
The Terminator Honda CB750 motorcycle (for Hot Toys 1/6 and NECA 1/10)

1/12 would change the game for all of us because its so underserved now. I'd still like 1/6 to keep being made because some of us want our 1/6 figures to go with them.

If HT or JI made the Honda motorcycle, that would sell like hot cakes. I heard a custom one of those were selling huge to Necca owners for their Terminator figures. I asked Joost this and its just a license obstacle rather than them not having the skills to make it.

I will get my Batwing this year and see about this paint being off that you say. When you say HT paint would be 10x better than JI, are you referring to a specific item they both made or just in general they are 10x better because that is quite a stretch. Look at JI's 89 Batmobile, their 66 BM, their 22 BM clean and weathered looks.
