Referring back to Inart’s interview with WillFoxification a couple days ago, they said they tried making vehicles and gave up for now because they don’t have the expertise to do it. Basically, vehicles are extremely difficult to produce. So I believe HT don’t have the skills to produce top quality creme de la creme that’s on par with Jazzinc. Being an older company doesn’t mean you are better maker of everything, HT are great at churning out a few dozen figs that look bad - great.
I love it when Hot Toys teases vehicles we want and fumbles the bag every time because it reminds us of their incapability to deliver, it’s a joke we can all laugh about. Every of their vehicles have material flaws - whether it’s incorrect scale, proportions that results in a toyetic look. I acquired the HT Tumbler which is fine considering the bargain price I got it for. Tell me there’s no inaccuracies about any of the Batmobiles and Deloreans they’ve put out.
For Jazzinc, it’s their specialty, their bread and butter. They don’t have material design flaws and that’s reflected in the higher price. I’m not talking about QC because thats impossible to avoid for anyone. It’s like Lionel Messi vs Rashford. You pay for what you get.
I’m not knocking on HT, I want them to produce a 22 Batmobile down the line for sub $500 so I can get one without all the bells and whistles, and if I want the crème de la creme I’ll go with JI for the Batwing.
