I've to think hard about this too. Whether to keep or cancel. I'm very stretched this month. I think i'm leaning towards cancelling sadly, really liked this piece. But the cost is quite too much for me to handle.

Those of you still on waiting list, keep your fingers crossed.

This will be the most expensive item I have ever ordered from Sideshow, and the second most expensive collectible I have ever purchased from anybody. Only my RWOS cost more, although my MR Boba Fett blaster will take second place away from Grievous when it comes out this fall.

Do you ever think there will be much opportunity to score the exclusive at or below Sideshow Retail?
I know you'll likely see the regular version for less on eBay. How much less is the big question. I'm trying to determine if the potential savings would be worth cancelling my exclusive and getting the regular via after-market sales.
I gotta save some money for Leia... and I still need to eventually get Luke and Han.

Nobody will be getting the exclusive for less than $450. It's not available to retailers who get a discount for reselling. So the only way that you will be paying less than that on eBay (or whatever) is if the demand is low enough that someone will sell it at a loss. We'll just have to wait and see...

i dont see anyone selling this exclusive as a loss. i wouldnt mind getting the regular version down the line, but i dont regret cancelling at all.

This isn't like tight-shirt han, or Gilligan Luke. This exclusive is the way most people remember the character and the cape just makes him so much cooler. I doubt we'll see any exclusives going under retail and I fully expect it to climb at least 20% over retail when it ships.

Exactly! That's why when I decided I could afford this piece either version I went with the Exclusive. This is the way the character looks that's the coolest so to me it made total sense so I expect him to hold in value at the very least.

He's going to look amazing either way, but the cape just adds another dimension to his coolness.

The nice thing about having the cape is that you can choose to display it without it now and then. The bad thing about not having the cape is that you can never choose to display him with it.

So I remember reading in those prodction blogs and stuff that this guy was made a long time ago, long before the movie came out. Obviously, some changes might have to have been made after they found out all the details and stuff from Lucasfilm. I was wondering, did they give that cape the grey back a long time ago, long before the movie came out? Assuming they want the most screen accurate look, are they going to have to change the cape to the green look we see in the film? Is this the possible reason he was delayed a little while back? I've always been going to the Grievous page after a newsletter just to see if new pics were put up. I really hope we get some today, but I doubt it.:emperor

I just watched ROTS and his cape is RED!!! It's not as bright, at least not in the shots in the movie. But he wasn't under special lighting to capture everything from SS in the movie either. He was mainly in space in his ship.

Well, the inside of his cape in the movie is red, but the outside or back of it is that green type color.

Yeah, it was more noticable depending on the background. At first, I didn't really care for the cape until I saw an upclose shot of the inside. The detail is amazing, and I can't wait to get mine. Although, I would gladly take the non caped as well.

Some guy has some pics of Grievous up over at the Statue Forum boards. Product looks aweomse, but the pics aren't the best. Sadly, he doesn't have the cape.
