Hi everyone, I have a question, is this figure the same as the 1/4 mark 43 bust from Hot Toys?
I mean are the materials, and look the same? Is it actually something like cutting this figure to make the bust? Or are they very different?

They are different. The bust is one solid piece. One switch for the helmet and arc reactor lights. No air break flaps on the back. More hollow feeling.

Great pictures guys. I wonder if the great anticipation and delivery of this fig is the reason there isn't a 1/4 Mark 45 thread. Just seems a little odd don't you think?

Idk if any of you guys know this but there is a guy in YouTube who showed is 43 1/4 scale with a custom stand attachment. The rod is made of carbon fiber and it allows for flying poses because of the strength of the carbon fiber.

Also, the way he makes the stand attachment via 3d printing, it attaches to the back of the figure also to make it more secure than what Hot Toys provided.

It's worth a look. His Facebook page is called Zaurko. I ordered one and its being shipped now.

thanks for the info.
I think one of the members here already posted about that though. I'm still not convinced using the flying mode stand from that man, because I'm afraid it will leave a mark or caused stress on the back/crotch area because of the weight of the figure

I'm tempted by this and by the 45. But since I already have this one in 1/6 scale and 45 in 1/6 on the way I will have to skip the larger ones... If they come out with a 46 (especially if it includes head sculpt) I may get that. I really like the 1/4 Boba Fett, it would be fun to get one of Iron Man too.

As of now, I have no plans on picking up any of the 1/4 figures.. But if I did, I'd wait until infinity wars and if they make a quarter scale version of his final suit, I'd get that one and use it as a centerpiece.

1/6 vs 1/4

love it

That really highlights the difference in scale... When people be talking about wanting a 1:4 scale Hulk or Hulkbuster, I be thinkin wtf! :lol

Mind you, same goes for sixth scale Giant Man, lol..

since we are on the subject i thought i would ask for help. I have this dilemma and i would like your opinion.

In the next weeks i can get either one 1/4 Hot Toys - QS005 - Avengers: AoU - Iron Man Mark 43 or one AOU Hulk and a Batman returns figure together.

What do you think i should do?

That's a question only you can answer. Sometimes it's fun to get varying opinions and suggestions, but in this case, it's not even an apples to apples comparison. Maybe if you asked about the 1/4 Mk43 vs the 1/4 Mk45 you'd get more insightful responses. But a 1/4 43 vs Hulk and Batman are going in 2 very different directions and only you can decide what you'd like more.

For what it's worth, the Hulk is easily my least favorite Avenger and I couldn't care less about a Batman Returns figure. So my vote would go to the 1/4 Mk43.

I'd agree with all of that. And on your last point, Hulk is also my least favourite Avenger, both as a character and as a figure. I don't want to spend $1-200 more on a figure which to me looks like an expensive version of the "Masters of the Universe" I played with as a kid, complete with big arm joints and 'toy face'.. (Deluxe Hulk does look good if you are prepared to pay for it) The rest of my Avengers all represent anything from fairly good to excellent representations of the actors playing the roles they played. (Obviously the older ones are less sculpt accurate') So I've settled with Banner. My potentially most expensive character is played by my least expensive character.

Batman Returns figures also mean nothing for me... so my personal choice would be 1/4 scale Iron Man.. If this was between the 43 and 45 it could get interesting..

There's no way to know until the 45 actually comes out, but so far it looks like the 43 comes with many more display options, including a headsculpt. That said, some of the joints on the 45 look beautifully-designed.

43 always seemed the better option to me. Great headsculpt, loads of accessories, miles better than its 1/6 counterpart.

Agreed—but I'm withholding a judgment because Hot Toys surprised us with the 43 by including movie-accurate wrist rockets as well as the initially-shown set. So perhaps the 45 will include some worthwhile surprises as well—the arm blades that the 1/6 version has, for example
