The Iron Man Mark XLII, Tony Stark's iconic main armor in Marvel’s Iron Man 3, is making a return in a "big" way! Hot Toys is delighted to create more amazing collectible figures for all the Iron Man fans around the world and very excited to officially introduce today the stunningly detailed 1/4th scale Mark XLII collectible figure from Iron Man 3!

The movie-accurate 1/4th scale Mark XLII Collectible Figure is strikingly detailed and meticulously crafted based on the image of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Mark XLII in Iron Man 3. This collectible figure stands 49cm (20 inches) tall, featuring a newly sculpted battle damaged Tony Stark helmeted head sculpt, interchangeable helmeted head, specially applied metallic gold, red and silver colors on armor with weathering effects, a number of interchangeable battle damaged armor parts, a battery booster Tony Stark used to recharge the armor as seen in the film, LED light-up functions on eyes, arc reactor and repulsors, LED lights shine through various areas of armor, and figure stand.

1/4 Hulkbuster? At this rate, it's inevitable. I'm not familiar with the history of HT pricing, but it could be the first to break the $2000 barrier let alone $1000.

A 1/4 mk44 would be just short of 4 foot tall. They could use normal light bulbs for the LEDs. Lol

They have not put all out. They have two large displays that are empty. Including their CW one. There is more to come

Curious to see if they include a headsculpt, elaborate base and/or BD parts. Seems barebones right now (lower price maybe, not likely HAH!).

I may get a XLII and an XLIV. Is there also a 1:4 War Machine? I hope they produce a 1:4 Iron Patriot since the Sideshow maquette was terrible.

I think they will reuse the mk 43 head sculpt, but a helmet portrait. I'm in for this figure

It's that thing he gives to the kid, the flashbang grenade. I think it's stored in a compartment on the back of the suit.

No idea if Hot Toys will add that functionality

As to 'why', probably to one-up King Arts who included a static version with their 1/9 Mark 42. Howard's petty that way.

I think in that pic thats the 1/6 die cast war machine. A 1/4 war machine would be awesome though
