Just got the info from william lau. The 1/4 mark 42 is being pushed back for may/ june 2014 release date

No surprise- IF it ever comes out I'd be surprised

Let's get real folks- PI sprung up and grabbed the license to get it away from HT. They took FOREVER to release the 1/6 diecast MK VII and the end result is ho hum (to me). They have produced a TON of prototypes in 1/4 and 1/12. No one seems to own these in 1/12 as reviews are next to impossible to find(meaning to me they sold very few).
They are dangling these 1/4 figures out there to get enough POs to produce them. They'll keep pushing these back until they do. At the prices they want not going to happen easily.
I have little hope that more than 3 or 4 are ever produced. This was all hype and no putting out product to back it up.

Have to agree here.

PI showed a lot of gusto with an incredible amount of prototypes, but their asking price is absurd if they want to be contenders in the 1/6 market.
HT makes the best product in this scale and their price is ~$200 less than what PI is asking, for a very similar figure.

Not a good business model imo and an easy pass.

Yes a HORRIBLE businss model....there is no way these will be done..adding to the fact in 2014 HT will grab the IM3 market with all their releases....then by the time PI gears up to do one 1/4 release interest will be greatly diminished for IM3

It's a shame. When i first saw the initial prototypes back in May, i really had high hopes. I still think they can deliver quality products if they can just focus on current projects.

:goodpost::exactly:
They had the right idea, getting the license to do Iron Man, but they didn't execute correctly. Not enough planning and/or experience in this very competitive industry.

Are there any close up shots of the 1:4 Mark I ? I'm more interested on the 1:4 IM1 and IM2 armors, seems like people are ignoring them in the backdrop, those are the real stars IMO.

Maybe you guys right. It is a shame, but I believe their 1/4 mark 42 will not dissapoint. I only really want that one figure right now :lol

Initial prototype only. Final product will differ.
"Will" not "Might". Basically saying don't expect to get something as good as what you're seeing in the pics :lol

I'm kidding around. It actually looks pretty cool. But forget that price before seeing a review or something. Actually, even if it's a solid figure, forget that price. I want it though :gah:

Senor Toni Starko in Marque 42 :lol

What happened to this? Even if the paint app might have been weak, I thought the likeness was pretty good.

Yeah I was the one who took this photo and actually it looks very much like RDJ but with a slight anime look, :)

Nice pic :D

Even though I said it might have weak paint app, I actually don't think it's that bad. But I remember there was conversation about it earlier in here. I'd rather have Play Imaginative proto quality paint app on a nice sculpt, rather than stellar paint app on an average sculpt.

At that price, people will demand exceptional final product or fans will not buy any of their 1/4 scale figure anymore. Not at this price

Nice proportion and cool to see that they included 4 sculpts.

The only thing "bad" about this whole line is the price. They really bombed this by starting with Die-Cast. Had this been more plastic and at around $400 it would be more appealing. $650 is a huge risk for a company that's not well known for their works.
