I usually do a bit of both.

Hot Toys is Hot Toys because of their head sculpts.

As we can see with King Arts, SH Figuarts, ComiCave, anyone can do the armor.

It takes special talent to make head sculpts as good as what Hot Toys produces.

I happily display both of them.

This thing turned out fantastic. So glad I ordered. I'm interested to see him next to the armored Batman. Just two brutal beastly figures.

To be fair, I don't think any of those companies hold a candle to hot toys armors. Especially not figuarts (specifically their 45 & 46).

From what I remember, Hot Toys re-did Hulkbuster because King Arts was able to come up with their own Hulkbuster that can fit their Mark 43 in it.

I think they can hold their own relative to their price point.

In any case, let's all enjoy our figures the way we want!

I got mine today and its unbelievable! Very pleased I sprung for this one. Only issue is one of the arm light up features seems to be wired backwards (On and Off do the opposite of what they should!), but I have sent an email and we will see what happens.

Such a heavy figure, but he is a beast. Very happy!

Looking more at the pictures of this and the mark 3.. They make the 2 look a little out of place. 1 and 3 look like real machines of war whereas the 2 looks more like an iron-man-ized version. It doesn't make me like the 2 any less, it just makes me like the 1 & 3 more.

When all is said and done, I still feel like I'm going to like 3 the most.. But I love the helmet of the 1.

Love it, Mananinn:)

For those who have it, how's the ankle articulation? Does it have a similar range to the 45's ankles (one of the best I've seen on a HT IM). In Budget Stark's review he showed that the armor plates on the ankles could be moved out but didn't show whether the ankles themselves could then have a lot of range

I actually really like the 2 armours, especially side by side. I've always loved my Mark 2 IM3 War Machine. My first "iron man" figure, really made me respect the craftsmanship of Hot Toys.

The Mark 3 war machine will be a nice combo of the 2 armours.
