Thought the legs were able to be pulled down?
Zeno didnt mention that in his review. Without being able to be pulled down the legs only move up when at an angle

They can be, but it's not the same mechanism as older DC figures like 42/43

EDIT: Not sure why that's sideways, sorry!

I think I prefer the pull down legs over the flip down crotch piece.

I actually really like the 2 armours, especially side by side. I've always loved my Mark 2 IM3 War Machine. My first "iron man" figure, really made me respect the craftsmanship of Hot Toys.

The Mark 3 war machine will be a nice combo of the 2 armours.

They definitely look nice together, there's no doubt about that. But I think when the 3 comes out the 2 will stick out a little since it's the least bulky and has the least weaponry.

Definitely think that's better than the droppable crotch. Thought it was a brilliant piece of engineering when I first saw it on the 1/4 Mk43 (think that was the first one but not positive).

1/6 Iron Patriot was actually the first to have the droppable crotch, IIRC. Unless you meant the hinged ball joints, those have been in use for a lot of the HPP suits.

I love the amount of BD pieces. I think it may even surpass the MK42 for options (at least in my opinion!) The general wear and tear in the paintwork helps too so neither clean or BD stand out too much (like the clean legs vs BD parts did on 42)

This looks amazing, purely based on my love for robots and mechas. While I can justify spending almost $400 on, say, a Macross 1/60 Valk, or a Soul of Chogokin fig, I just don't love IM enough to tell myself I need to get this. Probably for less $$$, but as it is, I just can't.

But, one of the best IM figs I've seen, only second to Iron Monger IMO.

Yes loving all these pictures. The colour looks extremely good...high quality finish.

One thing I wish Hot Toys/reviewers would do is the photo of the diecast areas:

I think that the diecast in the MK1 is in the bicep area and than most of the leg is diecast.

Side by side with the Mk 45, and with the older WMs, it really shows how much "better" the last incarnations look. They don't film match, but damn if you wanted the least toy like and most model like figures, those are the two..

Just get one. Its not like youre going to regret it. Its a solid figure.

Everything about the diecast is an improvement, except for those long elbows, and my eyes are immediately drawn to it. Anyone else bothered by them?

Yeah i have the same taught i think its for better articulattion.is one of the things where the v1 wins. Also if seen in front it looks like he has giant forearms and biceps but very thin and long elbows.
