Just seen your #10 pix on the other thread Pixle, he looks really good. Very jealous right now of all the folks getting theirs.

I'd assumed that being local (ie in the UK) paying for my #10 Sig Ed and P+P singularly, would ensure me just as quick a delivery of my Tennant figure, as an international buyer.

He does look good though. I can't stay grumpy for long seeing as he has turned out so amazingly well...congrats to Pixle and all who had had him so far.

Ok I was going to keep Tom unboxed until Christmas but I decided it was very important that I, erm, check the figure for defects... That is a wise and prudent thing to do, I think... right?

I fully agree. Do check for "defects". And make sure to post pictures so we can all inspect it ourselves.

Like Tennant, Tom had a mole too (ablove his eyebrow) but it seems to have fallen off in shipping.

Unfortunately I am not unscathed in the QC department.

It turns out that "mole" was a piece of the Tom's curly locks.

I was pleased to find that there was no trace of glue on my hat band, as someone else reported having.

Over all I am very pleased.

The hair chip is so sad! I'm a bit surprised the plastic is hard enough to chip like that! Glad to hear about the hat band (which had glue on it in Michael Crawford's review.) Crossing my fingers mine are in the clear!

I sent BCS customer support an email to ask if they could replace it. If they can't I suppose I can just color it with a sharpie.

On the sharpie note, for those who are actually going to do that on any figure, overtime sharpie ink gets absorbed by the plastic and leaves pink marks you cannot get off. Always use modelpaint!

My packages are waiting at the FedEx facility. I can't wait to pick them up! It's my partners birthday tonight, so it'll be late night until I can play with them. But I'm still ecstatic!

LOL - well, considering these are WAY more money than I spent on his birthday presents, I think I'm not going to get too pushy.

A note from BCS on their Facebook page about 4's hair, for those interested:

For those who have received the 4th Doctor figure today, a little tip... When placing the hairpieces on the head, place the front on first, pushing down on the back, so that front of the hair sits just above the eyebrows. It changes the expression and avoids that "just sat on the Hand of Fear" look!

Its some consolation that the damage was on a swapable piece as opposed to the actual head sculpt.
