Scalpers on EBay are looking for £450 for Big Chap, so I'm hoping there's a 2.0 on the cards, and that these figs represent a new commitment to giving us more Aliens from the movies! I'd love to see some AvP Warriors and a new Predalien. Also waiting on 2.0s of Wolf, Chopper and Jungle Hunter. Hoping they happen sooner rather than later...

I guess you can look at it this way. HT is doing both an Alien (confirmed) and Aliens (PL) Ripley(expected) and we now have a 2.0 Aliens Warrior, so it makes perfect sense to that they will do a 2.0 Big Chap. It may even be revealed on the 25th, we'll see, but I think they will do another one, they know it will sell well.

I will completely lose my S if HT's announces the colonial marines 2.0. They are in some serious need of an update and I would buy them ALL.
It will be interesting to see how well HT does with the paint job on the final product.
I am not pre ordering anything every again.....

The blue/brown thing is mute.....its blue, they say its blue because it looks blur for most of the film, and if you ask most people they would tell you the were bluish color....
I LIKE the brown look better on the warriors, and the grey / black on the Chap, but well, we are not getting that are we?

I'm pretty sure I'd sell most of my collection to finance a full squad of Marines, providing they didn't make them too suntanned like they have with other recent releases. I don't know if the Alien/Aliens licensing is still subject to exclusivity, but I'd like to see DAM and/or Blitzway take a crack at them honestly.
The more I look at this Alien the more I think I might end up buying one, but I refuse to commit to buy any Hot Toys product involving rubber until others have had it in-hand to report any potential problems. Won't be pre-ordering, but there's a good chance I'll pick this up down the line.
Dump those old Big Chaps, boys.
100 times better detailed & painted. and no rubber. if only it was 1/6. if only HT finally lost its license for 1/6 aliens, as it simply is unable to sculpt, engineer and paint them - and proved it for more times than needed to understand it.
Huge miss in opportunity.

Well I went ahead and preordered this. I'll also be getting the 1/4 NECA. A few months ago I was contemplating getting the HT Big Chap but it looks so wrong and the prices are ridiculous. I did get a 1/6 Dog Alien dirt cheap, I believe out of HTs Alien lineup it was the best looking.

depending on what you need.
it's the ****tiest representation of movie alien for a ridiculous price, but it's the only 1/6 A2 action figure available (soon).
so if you either don't see any difference between it and other parties attempts or desperately need an 1/6 alien - buy it.
It looks good but i worry about the rubber sections.

Chances are you will be able to pick this up once it is actually released at retail cost. But eventually they do tend to sell out, and go for more on the aftermarket. . .mostly.
