OMG. It is like Civil War Bw post, where I said that the new head sculpt doesn't has Scarlett likeness. I think my perception is wrong or something...

It must be man, because that BW sculpt is the first we've gotten that actually looks like ScarJo.

Dang it! I really preferred the real hair version. I'll pick this up if it's the only option, but this is a case of Hot Toys over tinkering IMO. The head sculpt is different, not necessarily better as they both have issues. However I think on display the real hair would look more realistic.

I'm honestly surprised to see so many complaining about the sculpted hair. Before they showed this version all the complaining was about the rooted hair. To paraphrase the late, great Mitch Hedberg - "You know, you can't please all the people all the time... and today, all those people are in this thread."

I want a better shot of the Ripley in the power loader. Strangely, that one looks like rooted hair.
Could still be prototype?
Is the Alien Ripley a production version?

Yeah, I bet the Aliens Ripley is still wearing one of the proto heads they don't intend to use. I bet they're not done with that head yet but still wanted to put her out on display for the show anyway. (When is there going to be a better opportunity than Alien Day?) But they couldn't put her out headless. They want us to see the loader and the outfit but don't want us picking apart every detail of the portrait. So ... "Hey Ripley! Your shoe's untied!"

Sculpted hair? Seriously? We've waited god knows how long now and they give us sculpted hair? a very poor move HT. It looks worse than the prototype. Damn.....

I will reserve the right to judge until I see clearer detailed images of Ripley. I did like the rooted hair as I do not have a female in my collection and would have liked it.

I get that peeps like the real haired sculpt (i do, as i had plans to put her hair back as she does at the end of the film) but what i find odd is that peeps are prefering the old sculpt as it looks less like weaver!!
This is an instant buy for me.. cant wait to put her next to my big chap

The hair was most likely very problematic, imagine doing 500 units and getting them all the same, a blooming nightmare!
You would need a hairdresser to do each one, lol!

I'M HAPPY

It's coming so just have to be patient again.
