But still, I think it sounds uplifting. 'Aliens fans stay tuned for official announcements'. This does show that they are doing stuff with the license and we will get our Ripley... I think.

I really hate "Stay Tuned" as a term too. Sadly, there is no value in following Hot Toys' "developments". This ain't radio anymore.

And their idea of "Coming Soon" is either several years or never. They're a joke.

I waded throught that whole link that the chap earlier posted, & it is indeed a gag of monumental proportions.

There must have been at least 500 photos in that FB link, & they were mostly Tin Downey & some pretend SW - ****.

i dunno looks pretty bang on ripley to me. Can't see what all the complaints are about.....The rooted hair version made her look like Adrienne Barbeau not ripley. She never had hair like that in alien. This sculpted hair version is much closer to the ripley seen in the film.. (waits for the inevitable backlash)

But, can you see the eyes issue? It's so little but it changes EVERYTHING for me... Sculpted hair is not a problem.

Reckon it was that last tuning enhancement I did, the site went down immediately. But maybe it was just a coincidence.

But, can you see the eyes issue? It's so little but it changes EVERYTHING for me... Sculpted hair is not a problem.

Left one looks better. In the right shot her left eye looks as though it's looking off to the side a bit too much. You see some of this random variation among different production sculpts as well, none are bang on perfect.

I would really wait until the prototype photos, these photos from the show are mostly not very good, shot through glass, washed out, not very high res.

Both look pretty great to me. I think that people complaining are thinking about her look in Aliens not Alien. There's quite a significant difference in her appearance. The young Ripley had much softer features.

YES!!! in Alien she was only 30.. she still had some "baby fat" features to her face. Aliens was 7 years later.
