It's long hair. It's not the same example. Ripley has curly and long hair.

my experience with long hair with that level of curls, is they start off ok but then they really turn poofy. I do live in a very humid climate!

Yes it is not the same but they are similar. The lower part of SW hairs are similar to the rooted Ripley's. You only need some product and some patience,but the end result can be way better than those sculpted hair.

is that the result of her hair being touched too much though or the hair just screwing up by itself over time?

i've had some rooted hair HTs for a few years now and theyre hair is perfectly in tact because i make sure never to fool around with it.

I love rooted hair but have decided it would poof out. I'm happy with Ripley hair sculpt. Harley Quinn I hope will have rooted hair as will be more manageable in pigtails

Sometimes it is like that but sometimes someting good can be done about it :

Well we all don't have access to sorcery. I'd be fine with rooted, but I don't trust HT to produce something that doesn't requires such tedious futzing.

Tough character to pull off. I don't think the sculpted hair looks too great, but I see too much Jules Winnfield in the rooted one. I'm not buying but I think I personally would prefer the sculpted. But the best result would probably be achieved with the rooted by someone talented and willing to spend a lot of futz time.

PLEASE, the cat should be around 2cm large... It's ok for me.

By the way, I REALLY LOVE this picture. I see real Ripley. And we must see the good things: She is the FIRST female with STRONGER expression on face.

I've made my peace with the sculpted hair. I'm just waiting for blogger pics now.

But it hurts when you see 2 years ago the PERFECT RIPLEY and they, change the head sculpt. No worries with sculpted hair. But the face... Oh my god... She looks like neanderthal woman.

But I don't see this problems in Hot Toys Secret Base pictures or Toy Sapiens pictures.

I see it also think that it will be in 1/6 scale...it will be a nice representation of ripley for sure! Those photos are not in great quality but imagine this figure in your vitrine, with good ilumination and on a good pose too..it will be awesome!!
