don't know what people are unhappy about. from what i have or had only Murphy looks more recognizable. and somebody said that it's not fully painted yet.
wish they opened her ears (or at least one ear) though.
but may be i've looked at that head on a stick image for too long now.

Sigourney Weaver NEVER looked the same as she did in Alien from any other movie she did/has done in her career. Maybe it's the lack of makeup in that movie, or that she could afford to hire dietitians and personal trainers afterward, but her facial features never looked as soft ever again. Seeing her in so many other movies with more angular features, and more makeup, people start to have a preconceived notion of what someone looks like in their "mind's eye", instead of what they looked like when they were younger. Much the same as we do for ourselves as we get older. In my head I still look young-ish, then I look in a mirror and think, "Who the **** is that old guy?"
Helps me take a step back from the hype and look at the item critically. wait, i've seen it in a movie...
JC Hong posted new pics of the finished test paint apps. Personally I think the first angle is the best. It's certainly recognizable, but not quite there for A1. Something about the chin/mouth area.
Better than NECA's effort though. Only high-end A1 Ripley we're going to get for now.
