There's no reason to resculpt the helmet so if you like the regular strom troopers, the shadow is gonna be the same proportions

What is the difference in this ST and the regular ones? I only ask because it seems weird that these are ready and available to ship and the reg ones will take another 9 months???
Id assume just mass production perhaps? But maybe to cash in on a trooper now that not many people would pick up once the OT figures start rolling out.
Small run of 1,000 or less is much quicker to do than a mass produced run of 20k or more. There are only so many factories they have access too and they have to book the time for the runs to be produced.

Yeah, the proportions of the Stormies looks great and I would imagine this is an exact repaint, recast.

How limited is this guy? I wanted to put him in the set but I had learned recently that he was never in the movie, so I was thinking about cancelling to save up for the other original trilogy figures, but someone said it's better to sell it? I'm not much of a seller so I wanted to ask for more advice.

It will be VERY collectible down the line I would imagine. It's Star Wars, it won't be mass manufactured because the character isn't major. It has all the hallmarks of a Grail figure in the future. I'm not one for selling much either, but I'm getting one of these. And I think it looks great.
Got one coming from Asia and one on pre-order from SS. The army building has begun. Lord this'll be expensive.......

agree, if you aren't already on the WL then you should prob get on it. This one will be hard to find come later on in the line. And if there is ONE thing I've learned from this hobby is Star Wars over anything HOLDS it's value.

I don't blame you. This one doesn't appeal to me that much. Black doesn't look right. But the way i see it is i want to collect the whole HT SW line and will kick myself if i miss out. Worst case i can sell it if i don't like the figure. Just wish i had the Bespin Luke.

Why did you order it originally then?
Mine has shipped from HK. I've never been a Shadow trooper fan, but this looks great IMO. And it's the first Star Wars HT since Bespin Luke.

I wouldn't. It's neat to have as HT's first SW release under their own license, but it's a totally boring and underwhelming repaint. The reg Stormtroopers coming this summer will be the real deal and blow these away.
