They are already in Battlefront. Anyway, Hot Toys will just release an unweathered/Officer/Flamer/Snow/Space and TIE version of the shadowtrooper that fits the movie (possibly even something like Wedge in shadowtrooper disguise).

Two things make this more of a stand out. This is HT's first Star Wars release since ESB Luke/Disney takeover (and we know how much HT likes Disney). The Shadowtrooper is also the only Legendary character that exists post official cannon rules, and is still used as a unlockable/exclusive colourway (not sure what the Chrome one means though).

No it just means Hot Toys will be reissuing it for Rogue One.

I've always had a soft spot for the Expanded Universe, so this Shadow Trooper was a great addition to my 1/6th scale collection.

I am in love with the glossy black finish with just the right amount of scuffs and scrapes.

Hopefully we'll see more Expanded Universe troopers in the future as Disney slowly includes them into canon. I would kill for a 1/6th scale Darktrooper.

LOL....I just moved 9 of them out to new homes....they are still in very big demand...they went fast...you should not have trouble finding one...on the boards here...Evilbay is more expensive...

I have a couple ht shadow troopers to part with, but one I've converted to a short trooper body. also they have no pauldrons or pouches. Im using them on my sandtrooper army...

Never loved the solid metallic color for the lenses, myself. Took all the paint off mine and the lenses are clear. then put some sticky metallic foil on the inside. It's a work-in-progress, but kinda like it

Finished putting together a Shadow Trooper custom to represent all my time wasted playing Battlefront 2015 Still going to futz a little more and clean off the finger prints, but wanted to get some quick pics up while I could.

I just picked one of these up on Ebay too with the 15% off coupon yesterday. Brand New in box with shipper for $153....

I really wanted a regular Death Trooper, but never pulled the trigger and missed out a few times on some good deal's. I think because I really just wanted to stick with OT & PT characters, plus then he'd need a second specialist for a friend. I wanted K-2SO as well, but I think I can live without them, so long as they don't pop back up in another SW standalone movie I wind up liking. Then I'll just be grumpy again..... Plus I felt bad cause my son really liked the Death Troopers too.

But I think I will actually enjoy this guy more as he's a regular Stormtrooper in black rather than an new design. Now the question is, how to display him. As a regular trooper, or with the shoulder Pauldron and belt pouches.....

Bandai is making their 1/6 model kit in shadow trooper if that's a better fit for people. I saw BBTS just put it up for preorder, so I assume other places will get it too.
