Great pics! :rock

Incredible pics.
WARMACHINEROX!!!!

Thanks guys!
Truth be told, I had zero interest in this guy, until I heard he might pop up in AoU, and thought this might be the best option instead of paying the possibly high priced version of AoU.
But when receiving this guy in hand, wow amazing work! If all the Iron Man's are build this well, like this guy, I sure understand why people like collecting all the armors.

So glad I got this version instead of the ridiculously over priced age of avengers version as they are pretty much identical.

Theyre not actually. I thin the Diecast WM is one of the best IM's available as far as look and pose goes.

Does this War Machine come with the batteries already in the figure or are the batteries packaged separately within the box?

My Iron Patriot was packaged with the batteries separate and I'm pretty sure it was the same for this fig

I cancelled my reservation with a HK seller on an AoU WM2 this morning as it's just too expensive (£270 shipped). I've considered getting the IM3 version which I actually prefer as far as the lighter, matte colour scheme goes, it's just a shame it doesn't come with a Rhodey head sculpt. I'm also more seriously considering an Iron Patriot which has an awesome paint app (with scuffs) and a Rhodey head sculpt. Both would go just nicely with my recently acquired Mark 42 (which itself was bought instead of the Mark 43 - I don't like the colour scheme). As far as the AoU version goes I find the colour scheme just a little too bland compared to this version.

You can get that on Ebay from Kit.
Also, am i the only person who made a headsculpt for my IM3 one??
I assumed everyone would be at it, but never had this thread on my watch list, lol.
And i can do this if anyone needs one and already has the IM3 one and doesn't want to have to shell out for the same armour with only tiny paint app differences and one head.

If you already have WM 2.0, don't want to shell out for the new one just to get the helmeted head, it makes more sense to make one from readily available parts.
If you *don't* have WM 2.0 already, it could work out more expensive. Just depends on if you have it already.

Well....I have been debating about getting this version off Big Bad Toy Store. I just want to have Rhodey's head to go with that WM. I don't know where I can find one.

Well. I can do the work to put a Rhodey head into a WM helmet for $35. But the Rhodey helmeted head is at least $35, and the WM helmet is $55.
So at what point would it be cheaper to buy the AOU one? And when you *see* AOU, you'll 100% want to own WM. He's all kinds of badass.
With the IM3 one, you can get the armour and *maybe* upgrade later. Go to BBTS and get the IM3 one and you can have it now.

So as some of you that have already seen Age of Ultron may know, the final scene
shows us a War Machine as part of the new Avengers team sporting a shoulder decal that's actually more accurate to this figure than the new one.

I was ready to dump this figure for the new AoU version because I wanted a screen accurate version, until I saw the price and exclusive status. Well now it seems that I can have the best of both worlds, even if it's just for one scene, well, except for the red around the chest RT and the eyes. I did a quick and dirty photoshop just to see what it would look like if I removed the red, and I think it makes a pretty good stand-in for the AoU figure. Only problem is, how do I cover up the red parts without permanently modifying this figure? Any suggestions?

This has probably been discussed dozens of times already but can anyone explain the difference between the ED and FF designations? :dunno

The FF 445 and ED 445 codes are tail codes or designations that usually represent the location and squadron for fighter planes. That is why Rhodey has them on his armor. The FF/ED stands for the base he has been assigned to or is located at. FF being Langley Air Force Base or Patrick Air Force Base and ED being Edwards Air Force Base. The 445 stands for the 445th flight test squadron.

So to me it does not really matter what the code says to be honest just that the armor looks cool!
