Great pics! Is anyone else's arc reactor light blindingly bright? Looks good in pics but other than that it's way too bright to just display with it on.

Yep. It's bright. I had a blue, semi-transparent piece cut out and laid over mine for the photo's...and it was still pretty bright.

IT really annoys me when HT puts the screws in TOO tight to the point where you can't remove it. Why do they do this? It's soo frustrating. Sorry to hear dw316

I had that issue trying to (finally) put the batteries in my Silver Centrion; couldnt unscrew the one fot his head, in the end it unscrewed but it was still stuck to the battery cover (then the real fun began getting the batteries in!)

As I don't want to keep the batteries in, I still wanted IM to look somewhat lit up. Looks like an empty shell, otherwise.
I popped out the lens and inserted small, cut pieces of paper in the sockets...pushed the lens back in & into the paper, embossing it.
I cut a 7/16" circle (for those of you with a circle template) for the chest arc. Just placed it on and used an exact-o to (carefully) place any excess under the lip.
When the light is on you can look directly at the Chest Arc. It's impossible to photograph, but the light projects the shadow of all the reactor's details onto the paper. It's still bright enough, but nowhere near blinding.
The light still passes through the eyes as well...evens it out a bit. Best part about this mod, it that it doesn't have to be permanent.
Of course, it's always cooler with the light on, but it's not practical, etc.

Nice idea looks good. Still bright appearance with the lights off.

Thanks. Yeah. That was the goal, more than it was just to dim the arc.

I'll give you willpower - My Wife bought me something from Sideshow for Christmas, about two weeks ago. She told me not to log into the account or I would ruin the surprise.
