Oh I'm thinking about selling my classic predator but I'm sure once I open it up again I'll just love it and won't be tempted to sell


Yeah man I understand. My HT BDMK3 and my MK4 are my first HTs. I don't think there is anyway I can sell those figures even if I have the DCMK3 and if they make a DCMk4.

I got that new Spidey PF coming in and I'm sure I'll be tempted to pick up more PF's in the future I'm trying to steer clear of that happening. I've seen your collection grow man. It's pretty amazing to be honest it's a shame that you're running out of space.

Which JLA lineup are you talking about? The SSC PF's?

Thanks! I haven't had time to update my collection thread in the shelves section since I'm still working out what goes were on display, haha. I'm expecting that Spidey PF too, the pose and design struck out to me in the prototype pics so it was a sure thing before the in-hand photos came out. I also ended up getting the Arkham Joker PF which cut into space because I liked the way it turned out and while it'll probably be a place holder until Ledger Joker comes out, I felt the need to have that iconic character in the collection. Hopefully it will still sell later on or I'll find some space to keep it down the road.

I was considering all the JLA PFs. The lineup would look great together, except I have nowhere to put it at the moment. I think the GL EX and AQM EX look great, hoping the QC issues are little to none when they do come out. Flash will probably be a must, especially since I love the show. There's too many!!!! Venom to go with Spidey, IM if they make one to go against Cap or Doom... even the Wolverine and Sabertooth is tempting, and if they make a Magneto... this is all speculation on top of the upcoming BvS mini-collection and Star Wars line coming out... oh man, I give up... It's not gonna end well. Gonna really have to make some hard decisions, unless I can afford a bigger studio/coop/apartment in NY, haha.

It's true, haha, once you go 1/4, you can't go back. It's gotten to the point where you need to invest a lot of time into just mentally debating what you really want in your coillection. It's far past "oo I like this, bought! that looks awesome, bought! it doesn't fit anywhere but i love the design, bought!" It's a lot of deep thinking and planning now, it's crazy haha. Just prepare for it, I feel like every collector will come to this point eventually, unless they've won the lotto.

I even thought Captain Marvel looks brilliant, the colors really pop, but yeah, not as much interest with the character to get it but definitely tempting. That's a good choice, definitely pick a line and focus on just that if you're adding PFs to the collection, otherwise you're gonna end up with a scattered collection, which works for some people, but definitely not when you're limited to space.

I would much rather have a Spidey Universe Centric collection, but only if they would actually pull thru with it. I don't wanna get Goblin and be... That's it? Goblin isn't my favorite Spidey villain so I'm hesitant but he's essential in a Spidey line.

i've been on the fence about getting this figure for a while. i know that if i get him, i'll also have to get the iron patriot.

i think i'll just peruse ebay and the like and wait to see if i can find a used one at a decent price.. maybe like $250.

i've been on the fence about getting this figure for a while. i know that if i get him, i'll also have to get the iron patriot.

i think i'll just peruse ebay and the like and wait to see if i can find a used one at a decent price.. maybe like $250.

I respect that honesty. I agree, some people say nice pics to everything (don't know if it's for post count or they can't tell the difference between a wonderfully shot photo and one not so much ) and I scratch my head thinking about some photos that aren't shot nicely whether it be the flash or a rigid/poor posing. I definitely prefer more constructive feedback if a pose looks weird so that I can adjust it and make it look better, and creativity is always thumbs up in my book. The natural lighting and angle of that shot looks great. Shows adding something subtle like a few bends and a hand gesture can do a big deal.

i totally agree.

i give some people the benefit of the doubt on the quality of the photo.. but if its blurry, out of focus, or sideways.. i usually won't say anything at all. it's amazing, on some other boards where people will post their custom figures, some of them look absolutely terrible. like, they repainted a figure but didn't decide to take the thing apart, so they have the old color sticking out on the crevices and creases and there'll be globs of paint everywhere, but you'll still see 5-10 comments saying "great work" lol. maybe some people just don't know how to give constructive criticism without being a ****.

the photo in question here looks great, i love how the colors pop, and there's something about the way the legs are positioned that looks natural to me. it's like a movement or two from being a weird looking pose, but for me it looks interesting and makes me want the figure more.

if you find one for $250 or under, it's mine.. i called it first lol. but really. i too regret passing on it. at that time i told myself i was only going to buy the main battle armors from the avengers movies.. but since then i've bought starboost, heartbreaker, shotgun, and preordered sneak, the 45 and 46.

the colors really look great in the photo as well. i think that's what stands out to me the most.

this armor has been weird for me. when we saw the very first shots of this armor for the movie, i was confused.. i wasn't at all a fan of the armor being predominantly old. i was really hoping that it wasn't going to be the main armor in the movie.

well, once i saw the movie i started to warm up to it.. then this figure came out and i started appreciate the color scheme.. and within the last few months of seeing the movie again on tv and looking at more pictures of this figure i really started to like this armor. there's just something about the gold, and the red sprinkled in that i like. i especially love the color on the hands, strangely enough that's one of the design elements that sold me on the armor. the helmet sculpt and the mask are badass looking, and the black panel lines just threw this over the top for me.

so.. looks like i'll finally have the leader for my tiny house party display.. i only have starboost, heartbreaker, and shotgun.. i think i'll add sneaky, throw mark 42 in the middle and call it a day.

It's a beautiful figure, very hard to take a bad shot. I find myself wanting to hold onto him, but I fear I may need to let him and patriot go for the sake of space. The reverse colors make him pop, since Thor has a lot of red and Cap has some.
