Im done and will say I don't have 2K to spend on toys....if it wasn't for that house and wedding ring dawgonnit!
I was just messing with you man I understand as Im sure everyone does we all have different things going on
You know why the jackpot for the lottery is so high? Because so many people consistently lose and add to the overall total.
No one seems to get that part.
Oh, I know that some (maybe a lot) here do VERY well. And I forget that there are some that live with their parents so probably have disposable cash up the wazoo. So I really am kidding that everybody who fills their shelves with HT figures has to go into debt.
Makes you wonder though!
I see. Try to compare the complete package. Jake doesn't just come in a skinny body with a loincloth and an extra pair of hands...
I have that kind of money to spend each month on figures.
Hulk smash!
The world loves their credit cards.
To have a disposable income of $2000 cash in one quarter everyone must be a doctor, pilot or bank manager (or a drug dealer).
but the only way I can do it every month is with my part time job that is not part of our family budget. We pay all our bills and I can spend my part time income on whatever I want which is Hot Toys for the most part. This works for us.
Right, which is why he's only $15 more than Hulk. I'm saying these two oversized figures even out in terms of value; with Jake Sully the money's going into the accessories more than the body (which is very skinny), while with Hulk you're paying for the sheer mass of the figure itself.I see. Try to compare the complete package. Jake doesn't just come in a skinny body with a loincloth and an extra pair of hands...
That's right, the money is paying for the sheer size of the figure. I'd say he's easily the equivalent of two 12" figures in terms of mass. Jake Sully isn't a really a fair comparison because he's so skinny; he's tall yes, but there's not much to him.
I don't disagree one bit. But as I said, with Hulk you're paying for the sheer mass of the figure.Yeah and the small and detailed accessories must cost more to make than the big body of Hulk. Not to mention the painting that goes into that. The Jake Sully figure is a much more complex figure than Hulk. Just take a look at some photos of it.
(To respond to myself) In this clip alone Hulk uses two different chunks of metal as a weapon; it would have been nice if they'd have included something like that for him to hang on to (27 second mark). This photo looks like he's holding an invisible boulder. I can't remember if Hulk threw anything in the film, but ONE accessory for him to hold would have been nice.
with Hulk you're paying for the sheer mass of the figure.
With Hulk you're paying for the name too.
