I think some of these "preorder lists" are showing who really buys these figures with cash on hand and who is putting them on credit cards.

$2000 worth of figures shipping in one quarter? Unless you're living in a mansion you're totally going into debt for this hobby. Busted!

The world loves their credit cards.

To have a disposable income of $2000 cash in one quarter everyone must be a doctor, pilot or bank manager (or a drug dealer).

I use cash for everything. I'm pretty sure in the last month I've spent well over $2000 on stuff. Toys, guitar stuff, etc. I do good for myself, and I don't have much else to spend on so I enjoy it while it lasts.

But what people seem to be forgetting is this is a much larger character/figure. Its not a standard 12" character. And its a fully new tooled body. The price should be expected. And when people were throwing out stupid astomically guestimations like $460-$600 prices (WHAT?) then the $300 obviously looks pretty reasonable.

Im sure when people have him in hand they will realize where that extra money went. Hes ****ing HUGE.

EDIT: HULK was NEVER going to come in at $200. That was a wet dream. Those that expected that should be disappointed.

That's right, the money is paying for the sheer size of the figure. I'd say he's easily the equivalent of two 12" figures in terms of mass. Jake Sully isn't a really a fair comparison because he's so skinny; he's tall yes, but there's not much to him.

Flex pay is an amazing thing. Plus, some extra tax return helps too.

Oh and the wife and I do very well for ourselves as well, and we dont live in a mansion.

Oh, I know that some (maybe a lot) here do VERY well. And I forget that there are some that live with their parents so probably have disposable cash up the wazoo. So I really am kidding that everybody who fills their shelves with HT figures has to go into debt.

Ive seen some collections (and Im even friends with fellow collectors) on facebook that have INSANE Hot Toys collections and I have to ask myself HOW IN THE HELL can one do it????
