That would be pretty cool. I'd like to have both versions cause I like the design of the IH more than the Avengers version. I'm still getting this but I would have preferred the other.

Same here. I guess they wanted Avengers hulk to resemble Mark instead of Edward.

I couldnt disagree more.

Which of these two looks more like the comic iteration?

Also, the Norton hulk looks like a cross between a surfer and an I am Legend zombie. Avengers hulk for the win.

I really like the 2008 Hulk design, but after seeing Avengers and seeing more of the classic comic Hulk in his design and not as much Ruffalo as the early photos showed, Avengers is my favorite look now, he really captures the early Hulk look of Kirby and Buscema.

Also agree. :exactly:

The avengers version seems to look more primate, whereas the IH version looks more human?

To be scientifically/politically correct...

Perhaps Hulk resembling an earlier form of hominid, with a more prominent brow/small nose/large upper lip.

The term Primate is too broad..... Humans to Lemurs to Tarsiers are all primates

They made him apelike in ways but very much more monster than steroid muscle-freak. I thought this was the most brilliant approach at making him. It made everything more believable in his physical endurance. I personally hated the way they made him in the 2008 movie. Without even knowing why, now after seeing the Avengers Hulk I know exactly the reason.

Does that mean mark ruffalo looks more ape-like?

Speaking of primate-like, I thought in the scene with Loki in Stark's "office", he moved like an ape. The way he pounded his fists on the ground, and started walking toward Loki?

I can understand wanting the look of the original design for hulk. I just like the '08 design better. Never liked him looking like a troglodyte.

If you ask the filmmakers, yes to an extent. One of the reasons they kept him looking so much like Ruffalo was that his facial structure easily became a Kirby/Buscema looking Hulk with little change.

I think the primitive look is key for Hulk given his lack of communication skills and all, and I think that's where a lot of folks dislike 2008 Hulk, even more than his super fit body, the face looks more modern human and doesn't portray the simplicity of Hulk. Even the effects people and writers on the 70s TV series equated Hulk to primitive man. My favorite part of Avengers Hulk is the dramatic underbite, very reminescent of early Hulk comics.

Yes, exactly this. My wife and I watched AVENGERS this afternoon (sadly flat not 3D) and we both remarked on exactly the same observation.

Out of the three versions of big screen 'Hulk' I prefer this newest version, as he is finally able to understand and respond to speech. Having said that, I do own all three on HD disc (I say that because my copy of Lee's HULK is on ancient HD DVD!:thud:)

Ang Lee Hulk is crappy overall but has some great moments, I love the fight with the tanks and the helicopters. The Hulks design is just ugly though. At the time it came out Inloved the effects of finally seeing a realistic transformation instead of the way they had Bixby turn into Ferrigno.

I agree with you about everything you said. The military fight was about the only cool thing with Ang Lee's crap-fest! Otherwise, I absolutely HATED that film and still despise Lee to this day!

That being said, bring on a Ruffalo Hulk movie!

I really like the first film.

Yeah - it sucks in parts, but there's some good in there too. Hulk fighting the mutant dogs in the forest was one of the absolute highlights for me. Nick Nolte as David Banner.. he was awesome. You can't fake that kind of creepy. Love Jennifer Connelly too. :) I can't stand Eric Bana as.. Bana er.. Banner. :lol

Not a a fan the 08 film - Norton being well cast, aside. Dislike the Hulk design for starters - one thing, I agree with Wake on. William Hurt as Ross? Sam Elliot NAILED that role.. sorry.

I did like the homage to the TV show though, with Banner essentially on the run, & the great piano TV theme music.

That brings up something that really bothers me, 2 out of 3 key characters were much better cast in Ang Lee's movie, the best mix would be Norton/Ruffalo, Sam Elliot and Jennifer Connelly, they all did great in their roles. Bana, Tyler and Hurt just don't work for me.
