Some nice photos here but I’m leaning toward canceling my PO as I have both ANH versions and don’t see enough ESB in the face mask.

Congrats to those who are getting him and happy.

I’m considering my first QS to be the Vader.

I got him this morning and he looks amazing to me. I have the ANH V2, Rogue One, and now the ESB version and to me this guy is my favorite. Some might say the dome is a little too big but it doesn't bother me. The only real problem I have with it is that the dome is somewhat easy to come off. While I was futzing with the figure it came off a couple times. So what I would do is take the dome off while you're futzing with him then once you're satisfied put the dome back on, just in case. This one is the first one I've put batteries in and it's not too bad of an experience getting them in. And the chest box looks great lit up. I also love the base. Overall if you're on the fence about him I wouldn't hesitate. Not sure why the pics are sideways but oh well lol.

I'm not really looking to get a new Vader since I have the V1 HT version, but I'm still looking forward to seeing more in-hand pics. I think proper futzing will make a big difference, especially in the way the cape sits and the shoulder guards, and the way the belt cinches the inner robes.

I do see that the face is narrower than it should be, so any temptation I might have had for getting him has been quenched. It really does look different than in the movie. I'll re-assess once the ROTJ version comes out. However, I'm going to try and get myself that sweet, sweet base!

Alright, photos. Keep in mind, photos this close up to a 13" figure there will be lens galore - what is closer will look larger then it really is. Its quite clear now having this in hand how relatively inaccurate photos are of these things close up. That means for example his mouth is not as big nor his face as narrow as it seems when viewed from the front. And its near impossible to get the proportions of the helmet correct. In short, I have no issues with it looking at the bluray next to the figure.

Unfutzed handheld pics with a S9, I did not try to help Vader during the photo session :lol

Also got a $20 code with it, but for select products..

Yeah haven’t had a code for a long time! I figured it was only good SS stuff or TFA junk but it’s good for all the SW stuff :)

Maybe I'll try to get the helmet! Please let it not be crazy expensive.

Regarding the tusks - they are definitively following the top line and not the bottom as they should, but it is barely noticeable at all. I did the side shot showing how mild that mistake really is, as I think most shots will oversell the issue by bending the tusks through lens distortion just like a straight line will seem bent in a photo as close as these things get. Or maybe I'm lucky with mine or others unlucky.

Great shots Indy:clap...mask/helmet don't look too bad there..

Thank you Matrix! The helmet actually does look great in the right lighting and angles. But I’m also not too picky with it. My favorite is still the RO helmet, but I’m enjoying this figure for sure.

If the ROTJ comes out better looking, then cool. Might consider that one too. But right now I’m happy to have this one, which can certainly be futzed and posed to look good.
