I don't think I've ever bought one of their complete figures, but I did pick up the jacket, pants and boots from their first Judge Dredd figure for my Winter Soldier in 2014. Those were well made and still look good.

I was so excited to see this... until I actually started looking at it hard. But... better than nothing I guess.

Will this thread get shut down now for discussing an unlicensed figure?

Yes, it’s not exactly screen accurate, but it probably is equipped as well as (if not better than) what Hot Toys would have given us.

As for discussing unlicensed figures, is that still an issue now that Sideshow is no longer affiliated with the forum?

OSK is getting the Art Figures version in tomorrow. I was just invoiced.

Update: Art Figures screwed up - the figure they sent to Kit was NOT the Crossbones knock off but another release entirely. He just refunded my payment. This guy is still due in the 2nd quarter.

The Art Figures Crossbones has been released. Looks like my shipment from OSK will be arriving Saturday or Monday, but in the meantime I came across this unboxing video, A bit annoying that they didn't bother to put everything on the figure, but quality-wise it looks pretty decent.

Thanks for sharing. Really excited to get this guy. I will probably try and replace the vest with something more accurate, but with this being the only game in town can't complain too much.

Let us know if you find a more screen accurate vest. I’ve been looking around but haven’t seen a better one yet.

Yeah they dont really make one unfortunately. I'm going to add some panels and paint to this one.

So my Art Figures Crossbones arrived today. A bit tediuous & time consuming to get him all geared up, (not receiving any instructions whatsoever didn't help) but with patience, some common sense & calling up a preview video for clarification every now & then I was able to muddle through. I ditched the knee pads as I like him better without them. Relative to my CW Cap he has quite an imposing presence. I like this one a lot. Here are a few quick pics:

Very nice :clap got a shot of him next to said Cap? I'm interested to see how the size up next to each other.

Ha! I knew someone would ask for that once I mentioned it, but it was getting late last night so I put it off until this morning. Here you go. I've posed Cap in a more upright position than he was in my Detolf, but given the difference in stand heights you can see that this Crossbones is taller & beefier than the MCU version. Which IMO he should be.

Thanks for the pic! :hi5:

Yeah hes definitely too tall for the MCU version. Think caps supposed to have a couple inches on him? Agreed though that it definitely looks more imposing for the villain to be taller.

Nothing against Frank Grillo, but I remember thinking that Callan Mulvey, the guy who played Strike Team member Jack Rollins in WS, would have physically made a better Crossbones, as he's 4" taller. Of course after WS he ended up as one of the bad guys in BvS. I guess Hydra was like, "You FAILED to kill Captain America; You are now banished to the DCEU!!

Haha yeah hes got a good bad guy vibe too

I forgot to mention this: I had to enlarge the lower holes on the gauntlets so the pins for the handle parts that go there fit. The outboard cylinders won't align correctly if these inner pieces aren't flush. JIC all of them have the same problem, I used a 5/32" drill bit and spun it through these holes with my fingers.
