His vestiments are pretty much the sorceror's garb. They cape of levitation won't change. Eye of Agamotto won't change. The original costume kicked a55, so they may not change it. The sorcerors were kinda buddhist monks, basic garbs.

A new version with his orange gloves, the crimson bands of cyttorak and a repainted headsculpt would be just perfect and would probably sell quickly given his increased popularity due to Infinity War.

It's really too bad they didn't keep using this version of the outfit... I personally like it better and is the entire reason I didn't order this figure.

I don't know why, but something about the sculpt on this just never quite worked for me (much like how the Vol 2 Star-Lord seems a bit off), so I'd love to see HT make another attempt at it. Either for IW or the next DS movie.

I mean to each their own, but have you seen this in person? It's pretty spot on. I imagine if you're just going off pics online your perception may be a little different. It really is an insanely well done figure in hand.

No I studied it up close when my LCS got it in. And the features just seem a bit too exaggerated to me, or the head not quite as narrow as it should be. And the generic expression didn't seem to capture his personality all that well either.

Still, if I could go back I would probably get it anyway, just because of how nice the figure looks as a whole with that great outfit.

The two examples you cited (Strange and Vol. 2 Star-Lord) are generally very highly praised. So I would say that's a bit unusual of an opinion, but you are of course entitled to it.

What I noticed about the sculpt is they made his neck very thick. And in some shots the hands look out of proportion. I think cause of the scar details on his hands probably

Just got thin today. Can’t wait to put him in the detolf. How does everyone have theirs posed in the detolf?

After doing a quick search on eBay, I ****ing hate myself :lol I was sooooooo close to ordering this a bunch of times. But I thought it’d stick around for while, so I waited. Big mistake.

I actually own and like both. :) Doctor Strange is one of my favorite figures.

This is one of those figures I passed over so many times and regret it. However, I am definitely not spending $600+ for it and am patient enough to wait for the sequel figure.

I'm sure we'll get another DS. Only thing that worries me is it will be more bare and cost $251 or so.

Still gonna keep this one tho.
