Wow, glad I got him. It's still yet sealed in the brown shipper too. Hmmmm, I need some parts for my truck lol jk. Keeping it. I didn't buy it to flip it.

There'a a good chance that's what's going on. Though that buyer only has 16% of their bids associated with that seller.

Even if that's the case, the last "legitimate" bid was still $790. That's crazy.

Edit: And it's pre-owned! There's a new one on eBay for $779. Why fight over the used one?

Always a chance the new one has a paint or costume issue. Open up a sealed box, and there’s no recourse.

At least with a preowned figure any issues should be disclosed and you have a leg to stand on should an issue arise.

So this is probably more of a general question, but it is happening to this figure for me.

Anybody have issues with wrist pegs coming out from the forearm? Whenever I try to change the hands the whole peg comes out.

Best way to fix this? Little bit of glue? Tape? Heat? Try the back up pegs?

Lots of figures will pull the peg out attached to the hands. Do nothing or use your spare pegs or buy some extra ones.

If I'm understanding you right, this is almost always the case with HT figures. The peg doesn't fit as snugly in the arm as it does in the hand. I take them out of the forearm first, then remove and replace hands, then re-insert.

It’s common, yes. Pegs are usually very standard (DS figure uses the most common pegs) and sometimes the tightness inside the hand exceeds the wrists especially if you constantly swap hands. There’s a reason why every figure from HT comes with spare pegs.

I regret not picking this figure up. I wanted him but never thought his value would go crazy so bumped him down the list. Goddamit.

I think a LOT of us feel the same way. Hopefully HT is getting that message and does an easy double dip for Infinity War. The demand certainly seems to be there, even if it was a “movie promo” kind of run.

I have this figure, and it's a great figure, but it is really not at all worth the $700 people are paying for it on eBay. I think it is more due to hype from IW than anything, and you know they will be making another one for the sequel whenever that comes out. The cloak can be a pain to get to lay naturally (especially on the lefthand side), there's no ankle pivot whatsoever, and the "effect" pieces need kinda awkward posing of the hands/arms to get them to stay without falling off. I mean, the Hulkbuster was $825 for crying out loud.

For those who own Doctor Strange, how do you deal with his sleeves when swapping hands? I don't have the space to display mine yet but I can imagine that swapping hands may be a bit more challenging due to his sleeves getting in the way.

It's not bad. Just put the pegs into the hands first and then put the pegs into the wrists as you can maneuver the slender pegs through the opening left by the sleeves first.

Thanks for your feedback. The left hand on mine was separated from the peg which is still attached to the forearm. Maybe I need to use something to pull out the peg first then follow your suggestion above?

I had no idea this figure sky rocket in price on ebay. I might list mine today for $600!

I've said this before and I'll say it again, just because something is listed at a certain price doesn't mean it's worth that much, but if they're able to find a buyer at that price than more power to them.

Yeah I get it, but I know there's plenty of people out there willing to pay more than that for it. That's how the demand is for sold out hot toy figures, especially for a pivotal character. I love the the figure but it's no where near my favorite, If it was Black panther, Killmonger, or Warmachine that would be a different story..

I agree. I'm probably gonna get crucified for saying this, but I own DS and I am not terribly impressed with it. Sure the cloak is nice and the design is elaborate, but there's something about the headsculpt that seems slightly off...

Still a solid figure, but def. not my favorite out of all the ones I own. :dunno

I don't think you're missing out by not owning it. You may just be swept up in IW-mania and a bit of FOMO for not owning it at this exact moment. Just be patient and DS2 will definitely see another release.
