Yep, the numbers. Which, is details. Which is made up. If it actually flew Mach 5, fine. But since some guy just made the number up, (the details/numbers) not really something I get excited by.

Unless your saying how fast it flies is not a totally made up number, it is what I said.

I can't draw all that well. How about carve? Or sculpt? The point was, would you really get awed or amazed just because I made up some speed it could go...even though it was fake and couldn't go that speed? Or would it (just for pretend let's say you liked the drawing/sculpt) just be about the art?

It's all made up? So I can't go into my display room and pick up a real toy? Or hold a real drawing? That's what I'm buying. Not a Mach 5 dream.

You asked why if I don't get "amazed" that someone arbitrarily decides suit can go Mach 5(not 4, or 8, or warp 5 but Mach 5) why I spend money. I explained why. Because I buy a real item. A piece of art.

And this is why I my posts are sometimes long. I write something short and it takes four more posts to explain the first post.

That's not what I asked. You have a knack for making up words after the fact (twice already in 4 posts), what I asked was:

So if you don't get excited by any of it why spend upwards of twenty grand buying every HT that's ever been produced?

Now where's this car you're drawing?

Funny how it's perfectly fine for you to change a meaning in a subsequent post...but I change excited to amazed and boom I'm making stuff up. I specifically said I can't get excited about how fast this suit flys. It's a made up number.

U then asked why I then spend so much money on them if I don't get excited by anything.

It's not putting words in your mouth if I don't use the exact same words to answer your question. Which if you can read, and read more then a sentence, I did. By explaining that just because the numbers and details are fake and carry no actual weight, doesn't mean I don't enjoy the art. The drawing, inks, color..the sculpture work and painting. That's why I spend the money. Not because starboost is a spacesuit. Or shotgun goes Mach 5.

And just so it's clear here's the two posts. By your standards you put words in my mouth.

:lol :exactly:

I can't get excited about how fast thing flys. Maybe it's me. But it's a made up number.

False on both counts. First, I never changed my meaning, whether you understood it or not is another issue.

Second, you changed more than a word swap or excited/amazed, as you pulled this entire phrase: '"amazed" that someone arbitrarily decides suit can go Mach 5(not 4, or 8, or warp 5 but Mach 5)' completely out of your arse.

Now where's the car pic you're drawing?

Personally I like combining the art with my imagination. But if imagination took precedence I would just grab some $20 figure and have a ball. What originally got me into Hot Toys was simply seeing the first promo pics of the Stealth Mark VII on yahoo (yeah I'm late I know). Didn't grab that figure but it's initially what got me digging into this hobby. The actual art of the figure was/is the major selling point. So I totally see where Motuxmen is coming from.

However, yeah I may be approaching my 30s very quickly, but part of me still loves the "Toy Story" imagination aspect of toys. Shotgun can go Mach 5?? That's bad*** to me even though it's a completely arbitrary number lol. Just the kid in me.

Shotgun Shotgun Shotgun Shotgun!

Even if we don't get him until next summer, I still want the satisfaction of preordering him, knowing at that point that a copy of him is reserved for me. Come on, Sideshow!
