Speaking of suits...

Considering that Infinity War deals with Thanos. And Thanos is from space...and it's quite possible we could see more space-faring alien allies of Thanos attack Earth (much like the Battle of New York) and/or see the MCU heroes battle Thanos in space.

What do you guys think about seeing the SYMBIOTE pop up? Seems like a more 'natural' introduction for the Symbiote suit and a plausible explanation (Symbiote is attached to one of Thanos' sub-ordinates and hops off on Earth? Spidey stumbles upon the Symbiote "prison" thinking it is something else a la the Black suit's original introduction in Secret Wars). At the very least, Thanos' "potential invasion" of Earth is a plausible reason for the Symbiote getting to Earth and eventually encountering Spider-man and developing into a future movie with Venom.

That would be the ideal appraoch but Sony is being complete idiots right now and trying to make spinoffs of spiderman Villians which is probably the dumbest idea in the history of cinema. Hopefully after the success of Homecoming they'll finally sit back and shut up and let Marvel do the work. Venom in the MCu would be a dream come true but Sony is trying to ruin that with a crappy spin off set in a seperate universe with no spiderman. Bunch of morons tbh.

Ned pretty much was Genke Lee from Miles' Spider-Man run so in that respect I liked what I saw since Genke is exactly like that but I can see why he gets the hate. I liked Michelle more than I thought too

I think it's for the signal.

When he's testing the suit with Karen, he uses that on the wall

Yes, I thought so too, about it being a signal. It's just curious to see 2 differing stickers for a signal.
Anyway, thanks for the reply.

Something like this has been what I am hoping for. Makes the most logical sense but who knows with Sony.

this what i want or i think could work.

but this is what i understands. Just sad that they pick a great actor which i like, going to a direction that makes no sense.

Just a follow up to this...

Sony and Fiege have confirmed that these Spidey spin-off will take place in the MCU but will have Minimum contact with the other projects, kinda like how The Defenders have their own little world of problems to deal with but still be part of the MCU.

So there is gonna be a Venom and Black Cat in the MCU but that's with the caveat that they probably won't interact with the Avengers.

They may interact with Spidey tho.

I thought that was debunked

I'm curious, does anyone know how this deal between Sony and Marvel works? Are they like divorced parents trying to raise their kid?

I'm asking because with all the questions being raised about the Sony spinoffs being part of the MCU, how does Marvel handle Sony wanting to use Spider-Man in those spinoffs? It seems like a no-brainer for Sony. "Hey he's making a ton of money, let's use him in our Sony movies to pull in a larger audience." But if that happens, it could potentially affect future MCU stories, and not for the better if Sony botches his character development, which they most certainly would do.

Just seems like it could get messy really quickly unless Marvel has full creative control of Holland Spidey, including what movies he can or can't be a part of. It would just suck if it turns into a "thank you for getting him going Marvel, we're gonna take it from here now" situation.

The only thing that worries me about that is that you can't really have Venom without Spider-Man. I'm fine with Venom never meeting Cap and gang but Spidey's so integral to the story for Venom.

This is how I understand it as well. Spider-Man may and most likely will have cameos although the entire Sony Marvelverse will exist within the MCU it'll be like Netflix where they are passing references. It appears though that Spidey isn't supposed to be integral to the stories themselves so expect an entirely new spin on Venom with probably the suit mimicking and existing Spider-Man's powers instead of him ever having dealt with it. Now the longer shot is that Infinity War will have the symbiote introduced to Spider-Man and then make its way to Venom after being rejected therefore having the powers but the leading thought debunking that is that Infinity War was well in production before the Venom movie was announced and Feige pretty much said it's their own thing so none of the Sony characters would interact or be helped by MCU films.

Another rumor is that Venom will take place using the Lethal Protector storyline as a basis which has him in San Francisco therefore away from the MCU's New York to begin with and that series helps change Venom from a villain to an anti-hero and involves other symbiotes which is where Carnage would come in instead of Scream or Lasher.

Yeah. I picture it as Venom: Lethal Protector. Bringing in Carnage would be awesome too!

It would be interesting to see them tackle the symbiote, like the tendrils and the shapeshifting Carnage does.

Just saw the movie yesterday, and I had to PO this. Probably my favorite interpretation of Spider-Man so far. I like the kid's enthusiasm. I just hope they don't turn him into the Debbie-Downer that the previous two became (all that maudlin balling is really grating).

That's cause the fools at Sony wanted to capture the downer side of Parker more then the fun , quipping side. Which is why people think he cries a lot
