This is how I understand it as well. Spider-Man may and most likely will have cameos although the entire Sony Marvelverse will exist within the MCU it'll be like Netflix where they are passing references. It appears though that Spidey isn't supposed to be integral to the stories themselves so expect an entirely new spin on Venom with probably the suit mimicking and existing Spider-Man's powers instead of him ever having dealt with it. Now the longer shot is that Infinity War will have the symbiote introduced to Spider-Man and then make its way to Venom after being rejected therefore having the powers but the leading thought debunking that is that Infinity War was well in production before the Venom movie was announced and Feige pretty much said it's their own thing so none of the Sony characters would interact or be helped by MCU films.

Another rumor is that Venom will take place using the Lethal Protector storyline as a basis which has him in San Francisco therefore away from the MCU's New York to begin with and that series helps change Venom from a villain to an anti-hero and involves other symbiotes which is where Carnage would come in instead of Scream or Lasher.

This is pretty much just YOUR speculation and not fact, unless you can cite a source.

My understanding is that Venom and Sonyverse are NOT at all related to MCU in the slightest.

Spidey will keep the box office warm in the months leading up to Thor Ragnarok.
There are still many people I know who normally would have seen this movie on opening weekend but holidays and local events have kept them busy.
Not to mention the amount of people I know have seen the movie and will be seeing it more times before Fan Expo in Toronto.

I pulled the trigger on the DX and homemade suits on Saturday, finally accepting that I'm going to collect all of HT's Spideys. When I saw the Iron suit at the end of Homecoming, I thought "There's another one to get ... " - at least I like the design!

Yeah, too many sensitive people have access to internet, its getting so ridiculous

It's not about being "sensitive", it's about common courtesy. I've seen Spider-Man homecoming so it doesn't spoil anything for me, but I ask for the spoiler tags out of courtesy for others. Spider-Man is just two weeks in, and the trailer being discussed for Infinity War isn't even out yet. And even if it were, one may not know how what they might see in an Infinity War trailer relates to the Spider-Man film until after they see it. So there was no reason to comment on how that might relate to the ending of Spider-Man without spoiler tags anyway.

This forum represents a community of people and respecting common courtesy as a part of the community by using spoiler tags for a movie only a week or so in isn't really too much to ask.
