Well it looks as if HT have finally settled on "Wait-list" as the final status on LOKI v1.

About time too. With 99.9% certainty that there will be a v2, how it was being handled was a laughable shambles. Can the up-and-down number of pieces really be accounted for by new people taking up the last minute PO cancellations? It's possible I suppose, but I doubt it.

Now let's hope that BW does not go through the same silly shenanigans.

I still think they just add more and more and well more. I have a good feeling that this is going to be s heavy discounted item. Say what you will but no numbering they can just make more. Its cheaper to make 20,000 then 5,000.

I know i waffled over getting him right away and cancelled and reordered him ...Just too many awesome choices to make after seeing pics had to ..He looks like just stepped of the screen and soon onto my shelf....cant wait...

I did the same thing. Only I have a bad feeling about this product. I just said that it was best to put the money on something that I can have now, soon then later on. Maybe later.

I'm really surprised that this is now a waitlist.

I wonder at a time like this, if their own credibility means anything to them? Now I am not one for people not getting their much desired figures, but now this has finally hit 'Wait list' status, it should stay that way.

It will lend more to this figure, it will build a desire for the inevitable Loki v2 figure that will appear to all those that did not this time around, and it will just plain make HT look better for it.

I think you made the right decision. No way am I cancelling my pre-order. It may be over produced like the Reeve Superman, but in case he isn't... I'm not taking any chances.

Quite right too. Yes these things will be available for 2 or 3 years after they are released, but why take part in that grossly artificially inflated shuffle (when the REAL scalpers will show their faces) when you can have easily secured a definite PO?

I have no intention of cancelling any of my AVENGERS POs, specially LOKI. I get the ongoing and reinforced feeling that he is the one that people will chase right up until Avengers II.

Not cancelling my preorder, and I wil preorder again for Loki v2.0.

Not only does the HS look insanely awesome,but the outfit is amazingly detailed.
one of their best if not THE best figure i have seen from HT.
IF there was a version 2,what would it be?Perhaps the cancelled Thor movie version?Perhaps a battle damaged version from the films ending?

As a rule I only order figure with helmets (clones and iron man). That was the main issue was that. I like Loki in the movie and comic. I did cancel it. But this open up some thing I did not have. A friend jump on it and order it for me. He told me so I would not order it. I am very hard to buy a gift for. So I. Do have it coming.

I still think and hope they release aThor version of Loki. They have the prototype made. It will hopefully just be a matter of when. Maybe a con exclusive next year.

I think that is going to be the case for most of the Avengers figures.
I only see IM, Cap and Thor having higher production numbers.

Also SS does not want 20,000 x 8 figures in their warehouse. I think they are only selling enough so they have nothing or very little left over. These are going to be sold out sooner than later and the price will only increase.

I'm still on the fence with the Tumbler all the QC issues is making me nervous to pull the trigger on it.

I doubt it's anywhere near overproduced, I really think Loki will be sold out by the end of the year, long before he starts shipping.

As much as I like you VS and generally agree with your opinions (including the 'over produced' observation), I think that on this occasion SZ is correct in terms of these being sold out by Christmas.

There is a trend with these Avengers figures that is most unusual with HT these days. When was the last time that a range of 8 HT figures from one film made available via SSC (the official distributor to the USA), where half of the range has already gone to 'Wait List' status during the Pre-Order period, with one of those figures being by far the most popular character of TWO movies?

And unless there are more delays (sadly, always a reality with HT it seems), four of the range will - theoretically at least) find there way into many a Christmas stocking, along with the 3D Bluray/Bluray/DVD.

HA! The ongoing LOKI numbers gag Yes that was quite something to behold wasn't it? But even then, I had an idea that these were the last moments of trying to squeeze out every last bit of inventory, including re-allocating immediate cancelled orders (ie those with twitchy "Cancel" fingers, which has now settled down) as those returned numbers were never very high.

Still, you've got this bad boy under your belt now, so no worries eh?

That's only 26 weeks, one of which begins tomorrow, so really, it's only 25 now!

Although I love the idea of either Puttin' on the Ritz, Stuttgart-black-tie affair Loki OR the Thor1 Loki, i think the next Loki we are likely to see will be from "Thor: The Dark World." i can't wait to see what he'll have on in that one, Loki's costumes have been so fantastic so far that they're going to have to work hard to top those.
